Gundam Seed is a good anime, but Macross Frontier is a lot different. The entire Macross series is different from the Gundam series, but if you like most of the Gundam series Macross is similar to it in some ways and it is like a space soap opera has many describe it but don't let that fool you there are plenty of battle scenes.

All the stuff you've seen happen to be anime adaptations of VNs. Can't comment about how good their animations are, but if you like that kind of style then check out other anime adaptations of VNs. For example, Ef..

Well,

Hellsing is quite well done, on my top 3 anime series
As School days is, as long you dont mind having ridiculously dumb characters (Not in the good way btw) ;D
Full metal panic. -fumoffu, -2nd raid was it(?

) If you arent into mech stuff, just watch 3-5 eps of first season and watch Fumoffu afterwards, funny as hell

Black lagoon, and 3rd season inc!
Elfen Lied Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot
Claymore Too bad it ended, read manga if you arent satisfied with it / want alternative ending
Death note + stop watching after certain character dies (You know whom I'm talking about once you start watching it)
Full metal alchemist + Movie once you are done with show

Code Geass of serious badassness (Remember wear sun glasses while watching, too much badassness might explode your head)

Gundam 00 & start watching regularly season 2
And Fate/Stay night was something which you should keep at.

Every anime mentioned should have atleast 8 out of 10 as its animation rating for my recall, but atleast you wont regret watching any of the series which I mentioned (Mostlikely)

If its eye candy ur after try Karas. Although its a cg/anime combination. Gunbuster is also very nicely animated and deffinitly worth a look in.

If u havent already seen this, then look for a film called Dead Leaves. it has a really interesting and colourful style and it looks as if TTGL took some inspiration from this film. Check it out

not gonna see what everyone else said, but when i started out with anime, i was stunned by elfen lied's graphics. not just with the gore, but also with the sceneries

There's few which I have probably forgot like the following which I'm going to describe: Vampire theme here, main character is a person that can see *Lines* which breaking results killing / destroying the object, was something enjoyable, yet I cant recall the ending if someone remembers the name, plx add it here ^^ been some time since watched it..

2nd anime is somewhat romantical which ive watched it includes mermaid who saves a boy, who was drowning, however since boy checked the girls 'fish' parts he or the girl has to be executed or get married, this was somewhat enjoyable series, but ive seen better anyhow.

I know bit of google searching probably would have found em myself in less than 5 minute but bit lazy here, just killing time as being sick :X geesh, gotta request new anime to watch myself soon, as I'm still probably going to spend next 3 days on computer / bed / watching tv :X

Monster is a must-see anime, watch it Now lol. Actually come to think of it the animation is really impressive. Its not gonna make ur eyes pop out from colourful explosions and robots the size of plantets but its just beautiful to look at. Plus its one of the most gripping shows ive ever watched, rpbably even more so than deathnote IMO.

Another couple of good graphics shows would be Noein and Soul Taker. Both of these had really distinctive and interesting styles. Deffinlty worth a look-in.

Yeah, watched 'bout 4 episodes, kind of on my hold list, but its funny

But I surely have to recommend you Berserk, just finished it and I think I need to go to sleep since my brains cant handle that much of imbaness by this short of time, I mean woah, just checking before going for bed that is the manga contienuing it or does it have that gay ending >.> anyhow, watch it! ^^
