Seifer smiled nodded, bowed, then was gone in a flash. From the window could be heard the joyous celebration of the return of another team.

Huh, sounds like fun out there Misuzu thought while looking out the window. "Well, I should go home now" she said to herself.

The team passed her up as they walked up to the Hokage's office. The leader of said 3-man cell turned quietly.

Naturally white hair, black eyes with a soft glow in them, powerful muscular body barely contained in his shinobi jacket, and 7 feet 11 inches tall, Kaguma Loren, better known as Payne, blinked lightly. "Asakura...It's nice to see you and your team are back." He smiled and turned back, followed by his teammates:

Red haired, yellow-eyed, 5 foot 6 inches Imori Jaque and blue haired, blue eyed, 6 foot 5 inches Akamatsu Raphael. Both turned and smiled. "Good evening to you, Misuzu-ojou-sama." They turned back and walked after Payne, who delivered his report to the Hokage.

"Nice to see you guys too" she said smiling as they passed. She watched as they entered the Hokage's office then left for home. There was dango waiting for her and she was starving.

Seifer set to walking around the village, thinking to himself. "Hmm....What to wear..." He blinked and stopped when he saw something among the trees, far away from the village. "Hm?.....Saruten!" His eyes went green again and he slipped into the trees, unseen by friend or foe.

The shadow moved quickly. He'd been spotted! This wasn't good. He needed to get out of there, and fast. But Seifer's speed far surpassed the youthful being's, and he caught up quickly, tackling said shadow to the branch of a large tree. He threw the being down and pinned him with his foot. "Nani shterun?"
{What are you doing?}

The man looked up at him. "I'm afraid I can't tell you."

"The reason for that being?" Seifer growled lowly, his eyes changing to heat-vision. The boy beneath his feet glared. "Ok, then. I'll tell you..."

Misuzu was humming happily as she arrived home. "Dango, dango, dango, dango, dan-wha?!" she gasped. The dango was missing. "My dango has been stolen..." she said with a sad expression on her face. She sighed. "I guess I'll just have miso soup again." she said resignedly.

After eating, Misuzu went to her room and looked at her closet. "What to wear..." she said contemplating.
-10 outfits later-
"It's perfect!" she said satisfied.

Seifer growled as he walked back into the gates of the village, his knuckles a little bloody. "Well, he won't be bothering us again." He mumbled, feeling the man flee to his own country. He sat at home and looked at his suit, smiling. "Tomorrow...Maybe tomorrow, I can finally say..."

Misuzu laid out her clothes on a chair and yawned. "That took longer than expected" she said glancing at her clock. Misuzu took a shower then laid on her bed. "I hope tomorrow goes well" she said. Then she fell asleep.

Dinner the next night wasn't as bad as either of them expected. Seifer was happier than usual, and as the night came to an end, he gave Misuzu a light kiss to the bottom of her lips, then was gone in a flash.

{5 years and 6 days later.}

Seifer slammed his fist upon the Hokage's desk. "What do you mean the Kyuubi is back!?"

"Where is it this time?" Misuzu asked quietly. Misuzu pretty worried. She hadn't forgotten about what happened during the last fight with the Kyuubi.

The Hokage's wife, now rather pudgy looking thanks to her nine-month pregnancy, walked in quietly and gently pat the shoulders of the two. "It'll be alright, you'll see."

The Fourth sighed. "I'm afraid it's coming here...Straight for us all...Straight for Konoha..." The silent power of these words was effective. Seifer's legs felt like lead, just as they had years before. "You mean...It's coming here...?!"

THe Hokage nodded and stood. "Misuzu, Seifer, both of you are to go to the gate and hold off the beast along with the rest of our Chuunin and Jounin. I will join the battle with you once I have prepared...Just do me one favor...Don't die on me."

Seifer nodded and turned to Misuzu. "Ready, anata?"
{Anata - can mean "you", but can also mean "dear" when speaking of or to one's spouse.}

"H-hai" she said uncertainly. She turned to Seifer. "Let's not have a repeat of what happened last time, ok?" she said poking him hard in the chest, "I don't think I could handle you dying again" she said softly.

Seifer smiled and tenderly wrapped her in his arms. "Hey, now....I'll be fine. I promise I'll protect you this time..." He then vanished with the small group of Jounin he commanded. "Ikuzo!" He shouted, and the cry of battle was taken up by his men as shinobi stormed from their houses to fend off their home from the demon invader.

To defend the lovely trees and lush green fields of Konoha, these shinobi would lay down their lives on the line. It was all up to them whether this beast died for good or destroyed them all.

The 3rd Hokage began his assault with his fellow shinobi, just as Seifer arrived and did the same.

Misuzu arrived at the scene seconds after Seifer and began attacking the Kyuubi. She did several earth jutsu's and ended up somewhat wounding the Kyuubi though they were far from being fatal."Keikan no jutsu!" she yelled. Thorny vines came up from the ground and held the Kyuubi in place leaving it open for attack.

The Kyuubi viciously struggled to free itself from the vines and Misuzu felt her chakra draining quickly at each passing moment. "I don't know how much longer I can hold on" she yelled.
