Suzumiya finished his ramen and put the bowl under the tree nearby. He decided to go for a little walk. Stopping by the creak again, Suzumiya noticed Arturia running around the forest. He chuckled and sat down by the water, observing her.

Misuzu slowly ate the fish making sure that she didn't burn herself. "Thank you, Seifer-kun" she said after she was finished. Then, Misuzu realized something. "Where'd Arturia-chan go?" she asked, "Isn't she supposed to be with us?"

Seifer shrugged. "I dunno. Can't see..." He ate his fill then stood, looking around with more his ears than his eyes. "Hmmm...The village isn't too far. if we hurry, we can make it around 12:00 noon."

"Hai, let's go!" she said with a look of determination on her face. She pumped her fist in the air and charged of in a random direction. A few minutes later Misuzu came back "Which direction again?" she asked sheepishly

Seifer looked at her like she was crazy, then pointed north, where as she had gone east. "We'd better go now." And he bounded off, his sense of hearing telling him where objects were so he didn't run into something.

"Hai, Seifer-kun!" she said cheerfully. Misuzu was glad that they were close to Suna. It wass almost time to fight the Kyuubi.

In the distance, said Kyuubi roared and waved one of his nine tails, smashing an avalanche of sand towards the 50 shinobi who dared challenge him. Two of these were Konoha's wonderous Copy Ninja, Hatake Kakashi, and their infamous White Wolf, Hatake Kiroshi, father of Kakashi.

Seifer bounded forward even faster, his head burning with the pain of feeling the pure chakra from the Kyuubi.

Misuzu's head was also burning with pain as they got closer and closer to the Kyuubi.
"I hope everyone's okay" she said looking worried.

Seifer looked back and smiled at her. "As long as the sun, the earth, and moon exist...As long as the people of the world have hope, daijoubu."
{Daijoubu = It's ok, it's alright}

He smiled. "Well, the Fourth's speech classes did help."

Misuzu laughed. She imagined the fourth and his class taking turns making dramatic, heroic speeches. "I see" she said unable to stop smiling.

Seifer yawned lightly, then blinked. They'd been talking so much, even over the last few seconds, that they hadn't noticed how fast they'd really been going.

Merely one mile away, a giant, nine-tailed apparition was visibly attacking several hundred shinobi, many of whom weren't even standing anymore.

Misuzu gasped. "Things are worse than I feared" she said staring at the shinobi. She turned to Seifer.
"So what's the plan?" she asked.

Seifer didn't respond. He'd frozen up. He looked at the Kyuubi in pure panic, fear, and every other word that means one is scared shitless. His legs felt like lead, his mind was clouded with horrible images of his own death.

But what was worse was the image that really plagued his thoughts...:

Many graves are being filled up back at Konoha. As the vision zoomed in on the names of the graves, Seifer felt sick:

Seifer Okai
Murdered by the Kyuubi
Failed to protect his team

Misuzu Asakura
Murdered by the Kyuubi
Died saving Hatake Kakashi

Kakashi Hatake
Murdered by the Kyuubi
Saved only for a moment by Misuzu Asakura

Several other graves were seen, and the vision zoomed out. Seifer felt tears drench his face in reality...Nobody was at their graves.

The vision disappeared as Seifer heard someone shouting at him in reality. He blinked and turned in time for a shove from Kakashi just as the Kyuubi snapped his terrifying jaws, mere inches from swallowing Seifer up.

Seifer dodged and rolled. "Misuzu, get back!"

Kakashi turned and pulled up his forehead protector to reveal the Sharingan in his eye, just as Hyuuga and Uchiha came beside him, their eye techniques fully activated. The beast snarled and roared. "You dare to challenge me!?!?"
