Jake jumped into the water "Woot! yay man this is what i need now just bring out the ladies and everything will be fine" he began swimming towards the small island in the middle of the lake when he arrived there he pulled out a chair hidden behind some trees this was his island and it was a nice place to get away, 'Why am i with these other masters is there a reason to be? and how do i know that they aren't spies working for Atlas' he layed down on his chair and pondered on the thought "I've made up my mind i'm going after the Pantheon i should probly leave a note the sooner i leave the better i don't have time to relax it's time to leave now it's already got a one day lead on me".

Duo was quiet for a moment. Then, he turned to Loki...and nodded in approval. "Understood."

Meanwhile, in the abyss known simply as Hell's Temple, Atlas sat quietly, contemplating. There were Masters like himself, coming to kill him, huh?...Well, his mole certainly worked out wonderfully. He even knew the favorite food of one of them. The poor thing didn't even know he was a mole to begin with. Oh, how sad....But he would know soon...Oh, so very soon, that it is often the puppet master who is truly the puppet.

Duo had been a trap right from the beginning. His being born and murdering people, then fusing his soul with another, those weren't accidents. Duo was the end result of a large-scale project known as "Project Eternal", in which a Master would be created with the ability to fuse his soul with another being. When that body grew weak and frail, the Master could move onto another being and live again, over and over. That was what Atlas sought, the secret to eternal life. It lay within Duo, who was a true immortal, so to speak...

It was Duo, not a Pantheon, who had engineered the destruction of one of the Master's towns. It was Duo who had destroyed the one who had come to warn them of the traitor in their midst, even if he didn't know he was a traitor.

Duo had lost his memories...All of them. he knew nothing of who he was, or where he was going. his only goal was to preserve his existence by eliminating the only threat to it. That threat was Atlas, the first and greatest, most powerful Master alive.

Jake walked back into the Tavern and got changed back into his normal clothes he wrote up a message telling them what he was doing "Sorry guys but you can't be trusted" he picked up his back pack and walked out the front door pinning the note to it then walked out towards the main gate.

Duo nodded. "Yes." He stopped by the inn and looked into it quietly. "Mat-san...Arigato." He walked away again without a second look back, his eyes down on the ground. "Loki, ikuzo."

Jake stopped just outside the main gate it would be a long time before he returned to this village he waved to the two guards then walked out towards his old village "Man how foolish i actually tricked myself into thinking i could be part of a team stupid".

Mat stared at the man before whispering back, " Do itashi mashite." After a moment, he followed the man, puffing away on a cigarette. 'Heh... I'm growing soft... or perhaps I am growing sharper.

Duo sat back and coughed lightly. It was now winter, 2 weeks since they had separated from the others. But he and Loki were still making could progress. Their only natural enemy now seemed to be the bitter cold. Luckily, they'd found a cave to stay in until the blizzards died down.

"Oi, Loki. You alright over there?" He looked to Loki, who rested by the fire they'd made.

Mat groaned, slushing through the snow on the road. "Winter is such a drag..." He groaned to himself, grumbling continually as he trudged through the snow. He had no idea where he was. All that he knew was that he felt himself being pulled, somewhere north, and he had to get there.

Snapping his fingers, Mat managed to create a head-sized ball of fire that he used to melt through a large snowdrift. Luckily, he was warm. Unfortunately, eleven hours was tiring, and he needed sleep. Where exactly he would find sleep remained unanswered.

Duo sighed when Loki didn't answer, guessing he was asleep. He turned and walked to the entrance of the cave, thinking quietly. "Dammit, I'm starting to wish the others were around..."

Loki rolled over, and fixed Duo in his one good eye.

"I feel as if you wish the others were here. But...I always thought of you as a loner. I guess with time even the hardest people can change. Strange, given your state of feelings, I'm surprised Sara hasn't come out yet. You know I could make this place warmer."

Loki took out a flamethrower.

"Do you want to be comfortable or should we stay here groaning?"

Duo nodded quietly. "Go ahead...I'm gonna scout the area again, see if there's anything worth taking." He stood and walked outside the cave. The blizzard cloaked him after only 5 seconds of walking.

Mat stumbled over a hidden rock and tumbled down a ledge. White spun in his vision, clouding every. After a cold, eternity of rolling and falling, Mat slid t oa stop. He groaned, stumbling up. His fireball had left him with the fall, and his fingers seemed to be getting a little number.

"I've got to find shelter, and soon."
