Human beings have advanced rapidly. Too rapidly for their own good. One human in particular, known as the Overlord Atlas, has advanced his body through genetic mutation so much that even his mind has been affected. He is a superhuman killing machine. Death is his breakfast and murder his supper. Like the rest of us, he has no past, no future. But unlike us, he didn't have to face pain and torture and death. To create just one of us, one-thousand babies were sacrificed. In the process, we received their dominant genes, eliminating all possible genetic defects. The number of us alive now is unknown. Some of us hardly make it past the age of 15. I wish to save this planet from Atlas. But to do this...

Masters. They exist in lots of places. The problem is, there are only a few of them alive. Finding one is difficult. Knowing one is a great asset. Masters are destructive and extremely powerful beings who, as their titles state, are masters of what they fight with. Their only weakness is psychological damage. Meaning, they can only be hurt through fear.

I am 19 years old. My name is unimportant. I live in the moment, because that is all I will ever have. I was born this way. And it is Atlas, the being who created Masters such as myself, who shall be destroyed. And if other Masters get in my way, I will kill them as well. If they choose to help me save this pathetic excuse for a world, then I shall call them my friend.

Bio: 3 days after the experiment to create him, he annihilated 5 of the 6 scientists who created him, then used his powers to possess the remaining female scientist, who was the only one who truly cared for him. He entered her body through a connection of their souls, taking over her physical shape and recreating his in 19 year old form. He has kept that form for 19 years.

Personality: The woman's soul never completely disappeared. Her voice and his speak as one, giving him an almost dual personality. This extra persona, called "Sara", has a forgiving, generous, and downright honest personality; while the male, who has no name, is spiteful, without pity, and without compassion.

Physical stand-outs: Scar on the back of his right hand shaped like a set of wings. He wears a shirt like Advent Children Cloud's, but the shirt is white, not blue-ish purple. Over the shirt is a brown trench coat, and he wears black leather pants. He walks barefooted, with shackles on his feet and hands to atone for murdering the scientists, whom he later found were innocent.

Bio: After the scientists lost control of the bio monitors, a confused and angry Loki emerged into the world. Due to instability he materialised a hydrogen bomb while shielding himself with a energy shield and detonated, resulting in the death of the lab and nearby town. He has not killed since.

Personality: Maintains a generally positive outlook on life even though he shoulders his guilt and is apt to crack jokes whenever possible. He loves to pull pranks on gloomy and dark people as to make them realize the fullness of life. However, when the occassion arises, he is as grim and stoic as the best of them.

Physical: Characterized by a permanent sniper screen covering his left eye as a result of an incomplete materialization. Dark black mixed with light brown spiky hair and wears jeans and an Under Armour shirt. As another result of his materialisation, he is able to transform his arms into his signature weapon of dual zweihanders. Other than that his weapons of choice are dual Berettas and sniper rifle. He is 5 ft 11.

Bio: When he was made he was put in a lab when a siren was activated and his containment tube was broken when he awoke his guards had there backs turned and he escaped using the shadows of the room as he was leaving he saw a young male leaving the lab after him then he was going to follow him but the sudden appearence of guards a minute later distracted him and he lost the male.

Personality: Kind and caring person when not in a bad mood likes to help others and work towards a better future one where things like himself wont be created for the purpose of killing, When mad will often go and find people on the wrong side of the law and would often stalk them to keep his skills at there maxium then would deliver the final blow as they learnt of his presence.

Physical stand-outs: Has short brown hair but would often cover it with a black cap which has a red Japanese crest on the top of it, Wears black pants which can turn into shorts with a floral flower/camo pattern down the side the camo is gray and black while the flowers are red his shirt is black with a red circle on the back, He has a tattoo on his right arm which symbolizes death and re-birth.

Silence. It was all he could hear. The city was quiet at night, even if it had been annihilated by a hydrogen bomb of some sort. But he could feel it. The power of a Master, just like him...This being was weak, though. Best to put it out of its misery.

"Oh come on! Do you really have to?"

"Of course I do...It is best to lessen the pain of the innocent by taking away all their suffering..."

"Well, not much I can do to stop you, but I still don't think it's right."

"I know. Neither do I. That is why this Master must die, to end her suffering."

The nearby Master looked up slowly. "Please...Help me...This building fell on me...This town was destroyed years ago...Please help me...."

The Master of Puppets knelt down and took the female's soft hand. "I will help you..." He reached out a hand and touched her face, feeling the cold seep into her skin. Then, he held up a hand and strings came all over the girl. He gave a simple tug and the strings, fine and tight as wires, split her into pieces. "May your spirit rest in peace."

Power: Able to create, alter, and manipulate fire with his mind. A drawback to using his power stems from the hyper-metabolic state his body enters before it can produce a flame, requiring him to store a massive number of calories, or ingest a massive number afterwards. Once the flame is created, his mind does the work.

Bio: The initial materialization went smoothly. His bio-signs were stable, he was sedated, and they had a firm control over the procedure. Unfortunately, they did not foresee a negative subconscious mental manifestation; a nightmare. His powers manifested themselves, resulting the destruction of forty percent of the lab, killing seventeen lab workers and severely burning almost forty. Mat managed to access the computer systems for information on his "family", whom he had the nightmare of. Since then, Mat has searched out, trying to locate his only remaining "family" member.

Personality: Pessimistic and cynical, Mat became dark and reclusive after he set fire to a large public transport while he was gaining control of his power, resulting in a total death count, including witnesses and secondary casualties, to almost seven hundred. Also armed with the knowledge of his "birth", Mat grew even more cynical, knowing he was a tool of death, destruction, and chaos.

Physical Stand-out: Has shoulder length, flaming red {No pun intended} pulled back in a ponytail and emerald green eyes. Wears a pair of black combat boots, black cargo jeans, a black T-shirt under a collared, dark red dress shirt; unbuttoned and the long sleeves rolled up to his elbows. On the back of the shirt is a large black kanji symbol: Fire.

Perched atop a pine tree Loki surveyed the devastations with a stunned glance. Somehow he knew it was his fault yet he refused to believe he had done it on purpose. Walking past a massacred corpse which had been split into a thousand tiny places he shook his head sadly. As his emotions danced around he inadvertently materialised his zweihander. Caressing it he hummed to himself.

"Never again. Never again."

Jake was wondering out side his village when he heard and explosion when he arrived he found the town in ruins "I'll kill whoever did this to my home" he muttered to himself as he ran through the village looking around for survivor's when he rounded a corner he bumped into a young male "Are you ok? do you know what happened and if there's anyone left?" He then reliased who he was looking at it was the same male from the lab 19 years ago he grabbed the young male by the shirt "Why did you do this? why?".

"I did not destroy this place...Nor would I care to do so. It would be a vulgar waste of power. Now, if you'll excuse me-" He clenched down on Jake's hand with his nails. "-I have work to do..."

Jake let go of the the kid after having his nails digging into him "How am i supposed to believe it wasn't you? after all you did kill all those scientists in the lab and for all i know you could be working for Atlas" he paused for a moment as he considered his options over the man's shoulder he saw another coming from behind him.

"Never say I work for him...It is my mission to destroy Atlas, and anyone else who stands in my way." He shouldered past Jake and walked on, Sara berating him over and over again in his head. The twin voices could easily be heard arguing together.

"Because his powers could not reap such destruction on this kind of scale." Mat's voice echoed from the ruins of the city. "While I would say that a Master did this, were I ignorant, I would still not point the blame at him."

Mat smirked and pulled out a cigarette and put it between his lips. Three thousand years had not taught humans the lesson on destructive habits, but Mat was just like most other humans; He didn't care. "Besides," Mat tilted his head and snapped his fingers, a small blue flame igniting above his right thumb, which he used to light the cigarette, "This sort of destruction speaks more of the destruction humans sow. Chaotic, random. Had a Master, or Atlas, done this, there would be a definite pattern, witnesses, perhaps even standing structures."

Mat let out a puff of smoke as he brought the death stick away from his mouth. "But something has drawn us here. The question is what was it, and what do we do now that we've done what no one has done; assembled more than two Masters in any one spot."

"Fine then if your not with atlas then why did you come to this town? and are they with you?" He pointed to the other two that were nearby he racked his brain in search of a way to explain why there was more then one master in this town his town, he walked over to a nearby bench which was still intact and sat down waiting for an answer.

About three minutes later, The Puppet Master returned. "From now on, you can call us Duo." There was an almost female smile in his eyes as he sat down against the torn pieces of wall. "This looks to be the work of a Pantheon." He looked around the city. "Based on the pattern of flame scorches, claw marks, and the sheer amount of fear that can be smelled around here..."
