((Forgive me for not having the Japanese version of the H2O Opening Theme. I'm feeling lazy. Someone PM me with it and I'll edit this post and slip it in, with credit given to the person who showed the lyrics to me.))

((Note that this is meant to be exactly like an anime. So no character sheet is required.))

Meteors, shooting stars, comets. Things that go from the sky to the earth, right? Some burn up in the atmosphere, and then some decide that they want to go through all the way. What is it about such things that we like so much? Maybe it's because, with every shooting star, comet, and meteor...There's a being inside, just waiting to be saved.

Avankiri Jun walked along the path in his backyard, humming Ode to Joy to himself. He looked up at the starry night sky, smiling. "Sugoi..."

It was at that moment that the powers that be saw fit to choose Jun and a few other people, whose lives were nothing but normal, and make their miserable, boring little lives extraordinary. It was then that the heavens gazed upon these precious children, who suffered a life of studying at school and agression from their peers, and decided to give to them something that made things just a little bit better.

From the sky came a bright star. Jun blinked and smiled brightly. "Sugoi! Sugoi! Oto-san! Oka-san! Come look at this!"

But then, he realized that his mother and father were not home. Instead, he watched, as did the other teens, while the shooting star slipped through the atmosphere and sunk further and further.

Jun gasped loudly. The star, large and shining brightly, was heading straight for the forest behind the row of houses. He ran inside, grabbed his leather jacket and put on his shoes, then ran outside again, jumping on the dog house and bounding over the fence, running into the forest while grabbing his cell phone from his pocket and dialing his next door neighbor, and fellow classmate's, number.

Sasume Amakase groaned as she heard her cell phone ring. She stumbled out of bed and searched for the source of the infernal noise and found her cellphone hidden inside a drawer. Without looking at the caller id, she answered the phone. "Hello?"

"Sasume-san! A shooting star just fell outside in the woods! You gotta come see it!" It was Jun, as usual. Who woulda figured he'd be the one calling her like he always did. Then again, that was usually the only time he could really talk to his classmate, one of the many other nameless people in his class. "Come on, you gotta see it!"

Sasume was now wide awake with interest. "I'm coming!" she said. She grabbed a jacket and her shoes and was out the front door. As she arrived at the forest she looked around and couldn't see Jun. "Jun-kun?" she calling out for him.

Kazuki Tachibana was reading when the shooting star fell. Shrugging on his coat and shoes, he ran outside. On the way, he had a weird premonition that his senpai Jun was going to be there.

As Jun reached the clearing where the star lay, he called back to Sasume. "Sasume-san! Over here!"

From the star...Well, there was no star, actually...Instead, there lay a frail looking female body. That wasn't the strangest part. The strange part was that she had wings! The young looking girl looked up at Jun and the others as they arrived. "T-T-Tas...kete...Taskete!"

Jun's look of horror and surprise turned into one of determination. Someone had requested his help. He couldn't ignore her. He jumped into the crater and knelt beside the woman. "Don't worry, I'll get you out."

It was weird, seeing him do such a thing. Normally, when someone asked Jun for help, he turned them down without much care as to their feelings. Sure, there was reason for this. A reason he kept to himself. So why help this person?

Well, it was simple. Because this person's life was at stake. And Jun's heart refused to let someone die or be hurt because he sat there and did nothing.

Jun lifted the girl onto his shoulders and turned to the others. "I think she's ok!" He looked at the girl. "What's your name?"

The girl's eyes opened. They were a bright, beautiful green. "I...I am...Mutsumi....Orihime Mutsumi...And you, m'lord?"

Jun blinked. "Avankiri Jun. Highschooler, Third Year, and President of the Kendo Club. Yoroskune."
{Nice to meet you.}

Mutsumi blushed lightly and lay her head on his shoulder. "Arigato gosaiimasu...Jun-kun."
{Thank you very much.}

Kazuki arrived, and stared in astonishment. There, a kawaii girl was on senpai's shoulders. And senpai never showed that much care for anybody.

"A-no, senpai, what happened?"

Jun looked up and blinked. "Kazuki-kohai...uh, it's nothing. This girl just asked for help...So I figured I might as well do something...I mean, umm...." He turned away to examine the wreckage. Upon the girl's back that Kazuki could now see, there were 4 sets of bloody openings below the wings, with little feathers sitting in the blood.

"Senpai, shouldn't we call for help? Ah, Sasume-senpai, you're here too?"

Kazuki whipped out his cellphone and dialed for the hospital.

Jun threw a dart at the cellphone, knocking it from Kazuki's hand. "No hospitals...You think they'd believe that we just found this winged girl in the clearing in the forest behind our homes? Ha! It'd be like telling a teenager that Santa exists. There's no way they'd believe us." He stood again and began walking. "For now, let's take her to my house. My parents aren't gonna be home for a week, anyway. That should give us all some privacy."

He continued his walk, then stopped for a second to hoist Mutsumi higher so he didn't drop her. As he did so, he could just faintly hear her soft breathing. A gentle smile crossed his face. "Sleeping like a baby..." He continued his walk home. "You two are welcome to join me. Probably best if you did. Since it's the weekend, you can stay over if you convince your parents somehow."

Kazuki trailed after Jun, and then grinned. The girl really was kawaii, but he had an overwhelming urge to protect her. Somehow.

Jun turned his head as they exited the clearing. "You never told me about yourself, so why would I know about your dead parents?" His voice oozed with irritation and scorn, but there appeared to be a small speck of tenderness as well.

Tyler stood at the edge of the forest, watching the group drag the girl back towards their house. 'An angel?' Tyler mused to himself before he headed off deeper into the forest. Looking overhead, he realized that there were more than a few shooting stars.

"She might not be the only one coming down to Earth." Tyler smiled to himself and climbed up a big tree to try and get a better look. "I need to make sure no more fall to Earth without someone to watch over them."
