Seifer sat quietly under the waterfall as the heavy amount of water fell upon his head. He was completely focused. Today was the last day he would be here. He needed to relax today, before moving out the next day and heading home for his first task. He looked across at Tosaka, who seemed to be resting against the side of the falls, then turned his eyes back to the small pond. He closed his eyes and thought back. So much had happened since then. What was he to do?

((Avan, couple questions. First, If we want to go into flash backs how would we go about doing it? Second, Do we need to fill out a new character sheet for this thread? And this last question pertains to everyone participating in this rp, I was wondering if I could act as the leader of a resistince group from Konoha and the Sand village? I'll wait for everyone to answer before going any further.))

Life had not been the same at that time. He had lived far greater days, sure, but it had still been wonderful when he met her. He remembered that the first time they met, his first words for here were, "Excuse me, are you an angel?" Sadly, she told him that she wasn't.

Shinji sat in a dark corner in the underground shelter that he and most of the other Shinobi had come to call home. By this point Shinji was about to rip out his hair so he decided to step out side to get some fresh air. All this waiting around for the recon unit to get back was making him restless. Shinji walked to the front entrance and turned to talk to the gaurd. "Open the door I'm going to step out for a minute to get some fresh air." The gaurd was a new trainee ninja that was being personally trained by one of the members of the new black ops unit called "The Slayers Division". The young trainee opened the door so Shinji could step out side. Shinji walked out and breathed deep. It had been so long since he had been outside. Course since Konoha came under new leadership by Masamune becoming Hokage, no one could look at the sky anymore due to the fact that he turned the village into a slave labor encampment for those who refused to follow his leadership. The equipment that he had running there covered the sky in smog and haze. You couldnt even see at night without a torch or something. Shinji placed his hand over his left eye which was completely useless because of the scar that ran all the way down to his cheek. For nine years Shinji had led the Slayers Division of the Onbu Black Ops. Nine years, and still could not come up with a plan the could free the village. Not without sacrificing the lives of his best friends and family. Shinji suddenly snapped back to reality and noticed that Ishikawa had not come back yet with the recon report. "I wonder if Ishikawas allright."

A man came over the hill, a sword carried in a sheathe on his back. His face and body were hooded and cloaked, shielding his identity. He walked up to the entrance of the Slayers Division and whispered a sacred jutsu known to no one but himself, Tosaka, and the man who made it but was now dead. The jutsu concentrated a small fraction of the man's power into his finger tip, causing the entrance to be blown open. "Oi! I'm here to speak to Shinji-kun and Ishikawa-kun!"

He walked in, looking around, then realized he'd come through the back entrance, so no one would be around to hear the door being blown in. He sighed, then walked his way to the front entrance. "Shinji-kun...What a pleasant surprise, seing you again." He removed his hood.

Seifer's face was more grave than it used to be 9 years ago. But then again, his face always looked grave, like a man on a mission he knew he would succeed in completing, but at the cost of his life. "Ta-dai-i-ma."

Shinji had just walked back inside the underground compound when he felt a vibration in the walls. Shinji and Ishikawa had built this compound with their own hands so naturally they knew every inch of that place and if there was a small trimmer in the walls he knew something was up. Shinji grabbed some shinobis passing by and had them come along with him.when he got to the back entrance he saw a man standing in the now destroyed doorway. He knew almost instantly who it was. With a little less than satisfied look on his face he said... "Well I guess better to be late 9 years than to never come at all." He turned to the two shinobi that he was dragging along. "You two go and get this man some food and water, now." The two shinobi bowed and ran to get the food and water. "Well I suppose you will be wanting an update on the current status of the war. Come we'll talk in my chambers." The two shinobi were running back when Shinji stopped them and told them to take the food and water to his chambers. So they bowed and headed to his chambers.

Seifer scratched the back of his head. "Truthfully, I know ever inch of the war...Don't ask how. We'll just say I have friends in high, low, hot and cold places. Especially Konoha and the Sand. But I'm surprised you haven't asked where I've been for the past 9 years."

Shinji stopped dead in his tracks. "Yeah well, I know about the training you were on. Ishi filled me in when he got back from trying to track you down. And please forgive me, but fighting a losing war can have an effect on the good natured for the most part. especially when you recieve this from some one your fighting tooth and nail to kill with all your might." As Shinji said that he pointed at what was once his left eye. "So you'll exscuse me if I dont seem very hospitable at first. And dont take my dissatisfied tone the wrong way. I did miss not having you here but I had to take charge pretty fast. Most of everyone we know or ever knew is either siding with that freak Masamune or is dead or worse is being forced to work in the labor camp."

Seifer nodded and stroked his growing beard. "I need a shave...The thing is, Shinji, no one here but me could defeat Tenchi, Orochimaru, or Masamune...I'm the only one with the weapon capable of killing them..." He pat the hilt of Tsuriga, who rested in his sheathe at Seifer's side.

Shinji smirked a little. "Yeah, somehow I knew my plans for retaking the village just couldn't work without you being in the group. Not without sacrificing everyone I know in this compound."

Seifer winced a bit when he mentioned sacrificing. "I see...I'm going to head out now. I need to stop Masamune now or never. Stay here and don't die on me, a'right?" He walked away, out the entrance, and was gone. His destination: Konoha; The Ninth Hokage's Office.

"No wait where are you...crap. (Sigh)Corperal." A young shinobi ran up to Shinji. "Sir you called?" "Yeah, has Ishikawa returned from his recon in the village yet?" "No sir." "Allright (sigh) send a message by squirral to his team and tell them that Seifers back and is heading to the village. Inform him of everything that has happened up to this point." The shinobi bowed and saluted. "Yessir, I'll have it taken care of." With that the message was written and the squirral carrier was sent to Ishikawa. Shinji watched as it ran to the village thinking. "Now all we need is luck on our side that things wont get hairy at this point."
