Makoto shook her head as he ask the question, she wasn't alright, although the fact that she wasn't alone certainly made her feel slightly better. She couldn't understand why this was happening, she didn't know why that thing had come here... why it did what it did.. "I just don't understand.." Was all she could muster.

Seifer nodded softly in understanding. "Neither can I...I'm sorry I couldn't protect you..." He looked at her face and noticed a scratch. He lifted a finger and put it to her cheek, folding his other arm to his chest and whispering a prayer. "O, gentle ones, seal mine friend's wound and allow her passage into safety within thy embrace." The wound shined lightly and closed. The little blood that had dripped from it dried up and disappeared.

A smile crept to her face as he did this, she hadn't even noticed it. She was far too shocked to notice the pain, but that didn't matter anymore. "Thanks." She said softly, she then shook her head and sat forward slightly "None of us could have done anything about that thing... Not yet." She look to him from the corner of his eye "But we will be... I don't want to see this happen ever again if we can prevent it." she said firmly. "I only hope we can find the strength..."

Riki woke up a few hours later in a strange place. He started to look around then fell back down because of a huge amount of pain he felt.

The figure knelt beside him, speaking still in the strange language. Noticing Riki's strange look, he guessed that Riki didn't speak his language. So, he gently laid a hand on Riki's shoulder and pushed him down. After that, he picked some gauss from a nearby cabinet and wrapped it around the large wound on Riki's shoulder. He then exited and let his patient rest.

Seifer sighed softly and turned again. He stopped and turned thrice. An island was within sight, only about 100 yards away. If they swam, they might be able to make it within a few minutes. Seifer, disregarding his holy armor, jumped in quickly and swam. "Follow me!"

The figure walked back in. He understood the language of most of Iifa's populace, Rindarin, but did not speak it. The figure merely took the gauss off and pat Riki on the head, then set the gauss aside and hummed a strange tune to himself as he rubbed a weird oil on the wound.

There was a swirl and the two of them were spit out, into the air, and back onto the wrecked roof, which had perched on some rocks. Seifer turned his attention to the swirling and watched as two fins slowly moved through the surface of the water. The swirling stopped, and two man-sized Bone Sharks jumped into the air and dove back down on the other side of the roof. One lifted its head and seemed to grin at Makoto. A nice tender human being for lunch sounded good right about now.

Seifer twitched, annoyed at the amount of fighting they had to go through. He drew his sword and pointed it at the Bone Shark, standing in front of Makoto and glaring. "If you want the flesh of this girl, you will have me to contend with."

The beast growled and jumped forward, catching Seifer by the arm and slinging him into the water to fight him. Seifer's holy armor allowed him to float in the water as if he were wearing none. The second Bone Shark lifted its fin and circled slowly around the roof, waiting for a moment of hesitation where it could strike.

FIGHT!!!

Seifer swims forward and bashes the 1st Bone Shark on the nose with his large shield. The 1st Bone Shark's sense of smell has been ruined. Its special, electricity finding organ, no longer works for 5 turns. Its aim has decreased dramatically because of the attack. The attack causes 100 damage.

Bone Shark 1 swims forward and makes to bite Seifer in two. Its aim is far off, and it begins to swim in circles, blinded due to having no eyes to begin with. MISS!!!!
