Cloud Sighed "i see, his right eye blinked out of pain.Dam this right arm of mine, it may allow me to use the powers of dragon but doesn't come at a small price". He said as he grabbed his tightly bandaged arm.

Riki noticed some comition going around the village. He rushed over to find out waht was going to and he came to see his friends. Riki was speechless when he saw the group.

As soon as Makoto noticed Riki, she smile and wave her hand quickly. "Your okay!" She said brightly, having had a great time on the back of the crab thingy, her mood had become rather good. She doubted there was very much that could be said that would change that. "It's good to see your safe!" She continue.

He saw Makoto wave at him and he waved back. "Yes i'm fine and glad to see you guys are fine too....... what the heck are you guys riding?"

The crab stopped at the gate and allowed them off its back. It then turned and scuttled away back over the mountain towards the beach.

Seifer turned quietly to Riki and Amari. "Soo....Big place you got here...Mind showing us ar-"

The villagers sort of stopped when Seifer spoke. They all turned their heads glumly, then gasped. They all ran forward and pushed the Paladin aside, bowing before Makoto. Sadly, the only one in the group who saw why was Seifer. It was apparent to all the people that this woman was protected by the holy veil of the goddess Collete herself. To be so young and yet to have such protection could only mean that this girl had a very intricately woven future, a future that involved her companions in one way or another.

The villagers took Makoto by the hand and pulled her through the streets like she was labeled fragile, showing her all sorts of things around Valhalla.

Seifer stood and dusted himself off. "Ooooookkkk.....Weird..." He followed the procession.

Amari followed as well, an apple in hand as he ate it.

"Wow their treating her as if she was a princess. Why didn't they do that with me? Oh well. I'm still glad to see you guys here."

"princess eh. the name suits her. A weak spoiled brat depending on everyone else to keep her alive." cloud said with a cold dark glare. "by the way riki where have you been?"

"I'm not really sure. I woke up not knowing where i was after Raine attacked the village. Then I had started to walk around for a few minutes and im guessing I had passed out. Then the next thing i remember is that I woke up in this village and this wrap on my side. They are really nice. But enough about me what have you guys been trhough?"

Seifer twitched. He was getting annoyed with Cloud's pessimistic and habitual view of Makoto, and was prepared to strike him down when Amari placed a hand on his shoulder. "Friends, please come to the temple. We hear goddess speak to all."

Seifer sighed and walked in. Immediatley, he felt soothed and calm. The power of the goddess lay within, enveloping the place in a shroud of peace. Upon the highest altar sat Makoto, with 3 priests conversing in soft voices with her about her predicament.

With the gentle twin, Collete, as Makoto's guardian deity, Raine would be rather hesitant about attacking the group should they come into contact. That was why he spent more time attacking Seifer, whom the priests proclaimed to Makoto to be the Lo mite hingen, a Valhallan term for "the Guardian", one of 4 people who protected the person protected by the Goddess Collete. However, they could not be for certain. There was only one way to test their theory about Seifer.

The priests spoke even softer to Makoto about their plan. They were going to push her off the altar and see how fast it took for one of her companions, Seifer in particular with his heavy armor on, to catch her. They asked for her permission to perform this test.

Makoto was still taken aback by all of this. She had never been treated this way, but she couldn't say that it wasn't mildly enjoyable. All the same, the attention was causeing her to be a bit more shy and reserved than she normally would have been. To add on, they were telling her many a thing about her and her companions. It was a lot to take in, but she did her best. When they asked for permission to test her friends, she did not hesitate, nodding to the question. She knew she wouldn't be let down. She had faith..

The priests stood and turned so they stood behind her. "We decree..." They paused for a moment, then shoved Makoto off the altar. She sailed through the air for a moment before there was a flash.

Seifer fell to the ground with a light touch of his feet. He sighed and looked at Makoto, whom he was no carrying. "Are you alright?" He asked, glaring at the priests before him. He was tempted to pray for their swift deaths.

cloud put his hands behind his head. "So priests did you expect something different? Those are 2 true lovers you have right there. As annoying as it may seem. but what do you want with us and princess here."

The priests walked down the steps of the altar. One cleared his throat. "We needed merely to test and see which of you was Lo mite hingen...And it seems we've found that one...As for the rest of you, it would appear-"

There was a light glow gathering around Makoto. The priests noticed it and stepped away. Her body lifted into the air as the glow brightened. Then it softened, and the lights around the room drew closer to her form. They were sucked into her very being, and the room went dark.

Then, a single light lit in the center of the room. Seifer turned to face the light and was astonished. There was a different Makoto standing before them than the Red Mage who had left moments earlier. The one who stood was not even entirely a normal mage...She had advanced to the highest rank of mage there was...Makoto was now a Summoner.

At her belt sat a dagger in its sheath, the hilt a gentle crimson color.

Seifer was astounded. She wasn't standing on the ground. Makoto was riding astride the scorpion that had come to them before. It squee'd lightly and scuttled in a circle before settling down.

The priests bowed their head lightly. "Kilik, the Earth Spirit."

((I was gonna say a Priestess, but I thought about it. if you want it changed, do say so.))

Clouds eyes opened wide. "You mean that flat chested weak magic brat turned into this amazing summoner girl. you must be kidding me." Cloud then said under his breath. "I bet Sifer saw this coming all along no wonder he was so nice to her."
(priestess would fit her more then spirit but they are both good)

Her transformation was one that could never be described, it was beyond the scope of words. She had seen nothing, yet everything at once. The voice that called out to her was that of the creature she was now mounted on, it had beckoned to her and she return it's call. She practically could understand it. When the room return, she could only help but smile brightly, looking down at what had become of her. It was far better than she could have imagined...
