Haruhi allowed the trio into her house. They were given food and water, and sat down at her table. Haruhi smiled quietly. "So...You know Sir Alastor, do you?...What brings you here to Anuenue, capitol of Silimar, land of birds?"

Seifer cleared his throat. "Well...We heard this place wouldn't be attacked by Raine if we were here with the only threat to him...The Summoner."

Haruhi giggled softly and placed her hands on the table, leaning forward till her face was 3 cm from Seifer's. "Oh? So you brought your little shield with you?"

Seifer twitched. A little agitated, sure, but not too bad.

Haruhi grinned, seeing his twitch. "Or maybe she's more to you than a shield? Maybe even a...." She grinned widely. "Maybe even a con-" She blinked as she flew back into her chair.

Seifer lowered his fist, looking at the twisted mark Haruhi now had in her cheek. Several guards aimed spears at him, but Haruhi lifted her hands to silence them. She had a single tear in her eye. "I'm sorry for that...I haven't been myself lately..."

Seifer twitched lightly again, annoyed now. First she was up in his face, now she was timid...Definitely bipolar.

Haruhi cleared her throat and pulled her hair back in a ponytail of blonde. "I'm afraid something's been amiss here in Silimar. The birds have begun attacking people without reason, and some have had to be put to death because of it...But in turn, our law has forced us to kill those who kill the birds..." She turned her eyes to Makoto. "Please...I beg of you, Summoner, please find what is causing our beloved birds to act so violently....And dispose of the thing that is doing so..."

Seifer turned his head to his charge. "It's your choice, Makoto-chan..."

Alastor coughed lightly. "I'm afraid I can't explain...All I will say is that you need to go to the Bird Queen when your friends are finished with their job..." He lead Riki to Haruhi's home. "For now, rest within these walls. You will join your comrades in their quest...If Makoto gives the orders for such a quest to begin..."

"Do i have to go see the Bird Queen by myself or with the friends? and do they know about it?"

Alastor chuckled. "No, and yes. They'll go with you, and they know. This is the only way for you to get any stronger if you wish to protect those close to you."

"Fight her. If she accepts you as her "adopted son" of sorts, you win. If not, you get to be her dinner."

Makoto stare silently at Haruhi, having stay silent throughout the entire conversation. Seifer had struck out at her, perhaps outlandishly, but she may have done the same. She was no sheild. Feelng that she could barely protect herself as it were, and there was no way Seifer was a coward. When Haruhi finally gathered herself, and spoke out of her problem, Makoto remain silent, although it was obvious she was thinking. "Your Laws.." She said timidly "Are biased and unfair. How can one be sentanced to death for defending themselves?" She sat forward some, her face still darkened by the hood. "Stupid." She said firmly, shaking her head. "However, We will help, if only to free these people from your idiotic rules and guidelines. I just hope you learn something from this, or you will soon find yourself with a mutiny."

She pushed herself up from the table, visibly frustraited with the situation. She didn't like the law here, but was sure they would break it many times while on route to fix the ultimate problem. She look to Seifer, Giving him a nod. "We will return when all is well again." She said, her back turned to Haruhi. She did not wish to stay any longer, leaving the home rather quickly, not waiting for a responce from anyone. She was rather angry, her old rash self was showing again, and she could really care less..

Seifer followed suit, still clenching his fist in annoyance and irritation. "Baka..."

They met up with Riki and headed through the nearby forest. The trees were lined sharply close, leaving little room to walk and more to crawl. Seifer took note of the many birds about them, all of whom seemed anxiously awaiting something. Seifer's eyes followed what the birds looked at, then understood why they weren't attacking. A giant owl hooted softly as the group came upon her. She looked at them with a mixture of motherly gazing and antagonistic agression. Her beak opened, and words came. "What brings humans to my woods? Have you had not enough of killing my family, and wish to do away with me? Well, I, Titania, Queen of Birds, shall not go down easily!"

She hooted and spread her great wings and began to hover above them, in front of the massive nest she'd been previously sitting in.

FIGHT!!!

Titania spreads her wings far and rakes her talons over Cloud's armor, causing 2 damage. It is obvious that, by the small damage taken by Cloud, something troubles the bird queen greatly.

Seifer swings hard on Titania's left talon. His sword digs deeply into it, and she brings herself up, dragging Seifer with her. He clings to her leg and watches as small drops of blood drip, causing 5 damage for every character's turn. The main attack itself does 30 damage.

"What do you speak of!? We did not come to this place to kill!" She shouted angrily, raising her arm above her "But if you will not listen then I will make you!" speaking loud and clear words, her voice carrying through the forest and through the earth itself. "Kilik! I call upon you to assist us in our fight!"

Cloud moved both blades in an eerie like manner then hoped up into the air and slashed at the left wing."we need to get her out of the air"

Kilik's shrill cry echoed as he burst through the ground, carrying with him his massive pincers and almost scorpion-like tail. He lifted his tail and struck at Titania. She couldn't predict his movements, and was thus caught by his poisonous stinger. She screeched and slowly fell further.

Kilik dove back beneath the ground until he was needed. Titania, however, merely lay where she was. "I've heard about people who have attacked my precious birds...And in response, they have begun attacking all people of Silimar...If you can find the ones who killed the first birds, I will join you in your journey for Final Fantasy...As for your archer friend...I have a gift for him..." She lifted her great wings as the poison drained out of her. A blue light flashed, then ran in a circle around the group. Suddenly, it changed course and crashed into Riki, lifting him a few feet into the air. Strange voices began to whisper...

A moment later, Riki was back on the ground. He looked like this:

Makoto stood without fear before the great owl. "I, Lady Makoto, Give you my word that we will find these who have struck out against your kind. I must ask, however, for two things. One, I request that you do not strike out against the innocent. There are some who have killed only in responce to your kinds attacks. Two, Information. Where have a majority of the attacks taken place? Any assistance will help us to alleive you of the problem causers.."

Titania smiled softly, it would appear. She slowly hovered again and took the group onto her back, floating quietly above the forest. "Speak to me, my children! Show to me the people who have brought pain upon us!"

The birds scattered, all of them heading to a small house in the center of the town. Titania's eyes flared, and she glided to the house, landing in front of it. "Come out, tainted beings! Let me look upon your faces before you are sentenced to the mercy of my Lady Makoto!"

Four men walked out of the house, each holding bows in their grip. "You dare speak against us, bird queen? We, who have kept you safe since time began?"

Titania raged back at them. "Speak not! For it is not me you must contend with!"

Seifer looked quietly upon the men. They looked drunk. He whispered to Makoto, "Let us bring them to Haruhi. They shall await the punishment for their crimes there..."

"If they will allow this." She responded, walking toward the men. "I, Lady Makoto, speak to you as a messanger. I tell you that you have commited crimes against the forrest and must pay for your crimes." She came to a stop ten feet short of them. "Please do not resist. We do not wish to fight if it is not necesary." She reach up and pull her hood down to reveil her face. "You men have caused much pain for the people of this place, it is time to pay for it. Will you come with us?"

Each man laughed as one, and they drew their swords. "Bah! Let's kill the wench while we can still get outta he-" They stopped speaking and looked around. Guards had surrounded them. "You four are all under arrest for thr murder of 60 of Titania's bird family members. Your sentence: life inprisonment..."

Haruhi walked up, clapping. She hugged each member of the group and smiled. "Thank you all. You have done a great service...Is there any way we can repay you?"

Makoto look to Haruhi, actually glad to see her. She knew there would have been no problem for even her to take these men down, but she was glad to see it resolved peacfully. "There are many things I could ask for....." She smile and Look to Seifer "What would you ask of?" She ask him directly. She didn't know exactly what to say, as she had so much on her mind and hope that Seifer's mind was much clearer than hers.
