Loki sprang down and drew his bow. He fires 10 arrows.

The creature ducks low to avoid the shot. MISS!

{You have 6 commands currently. These are Attack, Defend, Change Row, S.Attack, and Item. Only mages have the Magic command.}

Seifer runs forward and slashes at the enemy's legs, causing them to give way for a moment. The enemy is stunned for one of its turns, and Seifer's attack does 15 damage.

{Based on where and how a character attacks, damage is received differently and some special effects may occur. Also, some special attacks won't always work. Even Edge Attacks will miss sometimes.}

Alastor raises his sword high and jumps into the air performing his Dragoon Special Attack, Silver Moon Slice, where he brings the blade down from on high causing massive cranial damage. The attack does 35 damage.

The beast twitches and roars, grabbing its head before falling on its side and dissolving into nothingness.

Alastor sheathes his sword and sighs. "You are no match for me."

Makoto watches as the creature dissolves away to nothing. She turns back to Alastor. "What was that!?" She exclaims, Throwing her hands above her head. This was all too much, this was supposed to be a great night, she was going to celebrate the victory and everything.Instead they were fighting for their lives, people she's known for ever, dieing around her. If anyone would know about this is was Alastor. Not that she would fully expect him to, but if anyone had an Idea it was him. She kept the dagger held tightly in her hand as she waited for anything, Orders, answers, anything.

"Well, it seems it ended though pity not one of my attacks hit." Loki shrugged and unstrung his bow.

"I think you can relax now."

Alastor sighed. He turned to Seifer for help, but Seifer's eyes locked on Alastor's. He wanted to know to. So Alastor sighed again and turned. "Follow me. I'll explain on the way...And don't get lost." He ran again, Seifer at his heels.

"You know the legend about the monster that covered whole cities in a tsunami, right? Well, that giant thing that's kind of just sitting there is the beast itself. Somehow, the seal of the twin immortals has been broken, and Raine has been released...Supposedly, if one were to manage to kill Raine, it would bring the world to an eternal peace...That sort of world has a name..."

Seifer blinked. "What would that be?"

Alastor shook his head. "I'll tell you later. Look's like we've got ourselves a real bastard this time. Look!"

Several of the beasts had molded themselves together, forming a single tentacle that situated itself in the ground.

Alastor brought his blade up. Seifer unsheathed his sword. The first real battle had begun.

FIGHT!!!

Seifer sees an unknown item and uses it on the monster. Immediately, he is given the amount of damage it can take, as well as a few other attributes it carries. In particular, the monster is called a Raine Tentacle. It is easily blinded, and weak to close range combat and Fire magic.

Alastor makes a side-step slash, cutting deep into the Raine T. He pulls his sword away and backs up. The attack does 30 damage, and the monster begins to sway a bit.

"Guess it seems to be vulnerable to close combat!"

Loki sheathed the bow and took out his two falchions (sorta like two short chinese daos).

"Although I'm not as proficient with these, these ought to do some damage."

Loki sidestepped to the monster and vertically slashed at the monster.

The falchions get caught in the monster's hide, causing 10 damage. However, they are stuck, causing counter-attack damage of 10 HP.

{Even if an attack to a character misses, the attack still raises the character's Tension Gauge. When the Gauge is full, Attack and Defense power increase to double, and the Edge Attack command becomes available in place of the Attack command for the single turn it is used.}
The tentacle sweeps itself across the battlefield, but it somehow misses. Seifer's Tension Gauge fills to the max. MISS!!!

Blinding Fury: Seifer raises his sword and makes 9 different thrusts deep into the tentacle beast. Then, he leaps high and slices its single eye, then comes down and backs up. The attack causes 90 damage and blinds the enemy.

Raine T. HP: 15/145

A light wind swirls around Makoto as she presses her hands together. Her eyes closed, she is quietly mumbling, and after a moment the wind swirls upward, a red light suddenly appearing within the wind. Suddenly her eyes open, and she lifts a single hand into the air speaking "FLAME!"

The magic attack, Flame, causes increased damage to the beast. The damage is 15 exactly.

The beast writhes about, then uproots itself and topples, collapsing the entire road and bouncing the group upward.

Alastor receives none due to unknown circumstances.

Alastor looked up as the group was sucked into the sky, and saw what the problem was. Raine had liquified itself, and was sucking up all things while hovering above the city. It looked as if the sky itself had been torn asunder into a black hole. Alastor looked down at the four people below him while they hung onto the edge of the road that had been lifted upward. "The name of the eternal paradise is..."

Seifer looked up. "Alastor, help me out here, damn it!"

"Final Fantasy..." Alastor vanished, and the power surging from Raine was enough to send the group falling into darkness.

When he awoke, Seifer looked around, sitting up. He was sitting on a beach. A long beach with a small pier a few yards away. Luckily for him, the group was next to him as well.

"Ok this is weird. I was sitting at home now i'm on this weird place with some people i dont really know. Man what a day." Startes messing with bow and it snaps. "...... wow."

Seifer ignored the stranger, standing and dusting himself off. He turned around, looking all about himself. "Weird...There's nothing here..." It was then that he noticed the natives. They wore werebear skins and carried staves.

"Who are you, friend, to come to this island uninvited?" The tallest one asked. His eyes, like the eyes of the others with him, showed only gentleness.

Seifer blinked "I'm not sure...I just landed here. I'm not sure what happened, but something about Raine and Final Fantasy-"

The men all gasped. A single woman walked past the group and gripped Seifer by his shirt collar. "You have been touched by Raine and lived?! How is this possible?!"

Seifer didn't pull away, slightly freaked out as he was. "I don't really know anything. We were sucked into Raine when Asgard was being destr-"

"Asgard was annihilated over 300 years ago." The woman spoke softly, letting him go.

"WHAT?!?!?!?!?" Seifer gasped softly, bewildered.

"My ancestors came from Asgard to this island, called Wallacia." The woman spoke once more, more softly this time. "Asgard is now a haunted ruin on the sea. The Guardian sleeps there, defending its territory from anyone who dares go around there."

"Is that so...?" Seifer sighed a bit, thinking to himself and sitting down, tossing shells into the water. "Damn it..."

Riki was listening on the conversation. He walks up to them. "What do you mean 300 years ago!?! Just 5 minutes ago we where there!!!" He walks over to Seifer. "Ok whats going on. What was with the beasts that attacked and where are we?"

Loki surveyed them all serenely.

"I guess Asgard is destroyed then.... What now?"

That's just ridiculous." Makoto suddenly spoke up. "There's no way it's been three hundred years! We were just there! She stomped her foot angrily in the sand, refusing to believe that. "I am not three hundred years old, I'm just a Seventeen year old girl!" She stare at the people, then turn back to look toward the sea. "I refuse to believe that. Your all crazy."

Makoto then began to walk away from the scene, walking along the sea line. She would have anything to do with that nonsense. There was no way Three hundred years had past. She didn't want to hear that, it was impossible. She continue down the beach, not caring if anyone was following. She didn't know where she was going, but she had to find home.... She was just taking a nap on the beach, and.. and had a bad dream... And these people were playing a prank on her... Yeah... Sure.. A prank... She knew it was stupid, but she didn't care.
