Day Late

As Makoto near the edge, she peered over, surveying their long lost home. She spied the Guardian and suddenly was full of hate towards it. Partly, this was once her home, her play ground, where all her memories would come from. Perhaps, even, it might have been due to the way it so casually swam in what was left of their home... 'Although' she thought 'You are still alive... If you were still there.... Her thoughts trailed off until she grew so close to the edge that her feet were hanging over. "Seifer." She spoke softly, not turning to look at him. "I'm Ready as ever."

(Brb. Gotta pick up trash around our yard. shouldn't take more than 30 minutes.)

(Back now. Took less time than I suspected.)

Seifer nodded, then bent forward over the edge, one arm folded on his knee with his hand hanging lossely. "HEY! FISH FACE!"

The Guardian looked up and growled, slowly gathering water in a pillar around itself. It then floated within the pillar and up to the top, facing the intruders. "Who dares enter the domain of Leviathan, Guardian Spirit of Asgard...?"


Seifer bowed his head in light respect. "I do, on behalf of the Summoner, Lady Makoto."

Makoto stood boldly and without a trace of fear. Her face was firm and still. "I stand before you. Lady Makoto the Summoner." With a flick of her head, the hood that had been shadowing her face fell backwards, letting the light shine upon her.

Leviathan's serpentine head turned cautiously. Light flooded from the clouds, shining down on her vibrant hair and in her eyes.

"Oh, so the Summoner finally comes...Come to collect another spirit, eh? Well, mortal, if you wish to tame me, you must defeat me in combat...You, and you alone, Summoner...Any spirits you possess are yours to use in combat against me."

There was a thundering boom as the clouds grew together, darkening. Slowly, from the clouds, descended a man in great brown robes. His eyes were white as his beard, which grew nearly down to his ankles. He stroked his beard softly with one hand while his other hand held tightly to a crooked staff. "I am Ramuh, Lightning God. I see your righteous cause, and thus side with you."


Leviathan hissed a little angrily, then made for an attack.

FIGHT!!!

{Ramuh is automatically in the fight due to being around at the time of your fight}

Leviathan growls lowly and rams into Ramuh from the side with lightning speed, coiling around him and using a strangling attack for 300 damage.

Ramuh lifts his staff. Lightning concentrates in the end of it, and he throws it at Leviathan, causing 1500 damage upon impact, due to his natural weakness to lightning based attacks. Leviathan has Shock statue effect. He is stunned for 5 turns.

Seifer casually smacked Cloud over the back of his head. "There is only one Leviathan in the world. He is known as the King of the Serpents and the Sea. None can defy him under the ocean. Any who dare attempt to attack him are swept beneath his massive tidal waves...You heard the story of Atlantis, right? Well, they thought they were stronger than Leviathan...He proved them wrong by sinking their entire island and killing everyone on it within 2 minutes and 48 seconds."

Day Late

Makoto had been relying on magik far too much. While she knew that it was strong, she had built up a urge.. A want to strike out with her Dagger. A burst of red and silver wind swirl around her, sending her coat whiping about in protest. Her eyes slowly shut as she concentraited, readying her strength. The winds whipping around her sped up until she seem like a blur of reds and silvers. She lept forward to meet the Leviathan, brave and foolhardy. With a twist of her body, she began to spiral toward it, The colored winds mixing together and streaking toward it, crashing into the Leviathan's body. "Whip Slice!" She shouted as she perform a flip in midair, swinging her dagger as she did so, sending a huge blast of air toward the beast.

Leviatan merely laughed, the blast of wind hitting his armored hide with no effect. "Water summons Wind." He lifted his tail and batted the wind back at Makoto for 50 damage. COUNTER ATTACK!!!

Ramuh lifted his staff again, but this time, the lightning gathered finely in the sharpened end. "JUDGEMENT BOLT!" He pierced Leviathan's side, and the lightning surged through him for 2000 damage.

Makoto realized that her attacks would be useless. She couldn't defeat this creature with blunt force, and not only that, but she had seen many attacks connect and seem to cause large damage. Had she been thinking clearly she would have known this already. Mentaly, she kicked herself. "Alright then." She said "Eat this!" With a flick of her wrist she summoned the element of lightning, watching it boom down from the sky unto her enemy.

Leviathan meeped when struck by the lightning. His body became incredibly scarred. He growled and lifted his body higher, then doved deep beneath the water. A massive wave rose and crashed down on the group. Ramuh was able to lift up Makoto and the group, but the pillar fell from the massive ton of pressure.


Seifer grumbled faintly. "Jeeze, you'd think he were trying to kill us!"

Ramuh set the group down on a slightly lower pillar. Leviathan's Tsunami slowly lowered to normal proportions, and he lifted his head high above the water to stair at Makoto.

"Summoner, you have proven your strength...I, Leviathan, shall join you. If ever you have need of my ocean powers, make no hesitation to call for me." He slowly sank back beneath the waves, then began to circle the Collosus pillars again.

Ramuh also left, bowing his head. He tapped his staff on thr ground, lightning flashed, and he was gone.

Seifer looked back over the side in thought, looking at every crack or crevice. "Hmmm...There we go." He drew his sword and looked to Makoto, taking her dagger. "Gotta borrow this for a bit." He jumped over the side and dug his sword and the dagger into rock pillar, looking down. "There's a entrance over there!...I think I see something shining!"

Makoto lept over the edge, diving toward the waters below. She flew past Seifer, splash into the water, dissapearing below the surface. The water felt coold and refreshing on her skin as she left herself slowly drift back toward the surface. As her head popped up, she turn and look up toward Seifer "Well, It may not have been the most graceful way down, but It sure feels good." She grinned as she wipe hair away from her face.

He laughed softly and handed her dagger back to her as he slowly settled in the water as well, his armor de-manifesting. He looked around for the object again and blinked, then swam toward a small entrance just above the water level. He clambered in and looked about. "...Eww..." Skeletons lay against the walls, nail marks on the walls beside them. Some lay just barely at the entrance, with their legs missing and their heads half in the water. "...They were trying to get out of this cavern...Makoto, give me a light!"

Makoto nodded to Seifer, Summoning forth fire to light the passage ahead. After she had done this, she turn her attention to Cloud. "Bad feeling? What else could possible go wrong? We already took care of the guardian, ya' know?" She said, smiling brightly to him. "I wouldn't worry about it."
