Alastor walked back into the room and set several bits of food down on the stove in pots and pans. "That day, you all, with the exception of Cloud, nearly lost your lives...I, myself, know not why Raine spared you all...Yes, I knew that this would happen, though I know not why. The second we killed Raine, with the help of the twins...Time froze for a moment. I saw Payne. He looked so peaceful..."

Seifer looked up. "You saw my father?"

Alastor nodded. "But...He also looked like he was pained...He told me to look after you until you were strong enough to look after yourself. The same went from your mother to me, Makoto. When time returned, I saw him, Seifer...Payne was gravely wounded, and shortly passed away. My other companion managed to hold on for just a bit longer, then she also died...Payne told me that these events would happen..."

Makoto listen quietly, making sure not to miss a word. Her mother? Makoto could barely recall what she looked like... "How long have you been here.. Before we arrived? .. We were told you were a... Savior of sorts... What have... what have you been doing since you arrived?"

Alastor continued to cook, his eyes almost drained of what little life they seemed to have had.

"I arrived at the same time you did. At first, I prepared things. The sword that Seifer now wields, you becoming a Summoner, meeting up with Cloud...All of these are small things I was told to do by Payne...And Seifer, there will come a time when I tell you what really happened to your father..."

"Is our ultimate goal to defeate Raine? ... and when we do so... What becomes of us?" This was that last thing on her mind, or that she felt must be asked. The rest of things said did not matter half as much as these things did..

Alastor stopped and turned to face them fully.

"To kill Raine requires a sacrifice...There is a library within this ruin...It contains a book that told of how a Summoner must be sacrificed to destroy Raine, and a Paladin...A Paladin becomes the new Raine, and sleeps for a thousand years...For only 1,000 years, the world will exist in Final Fantasy...Unless someone can find a way to destroy Raine without becoming him or being sacrificed...But none have ever been able to do it, I'm afraid..."

Seifer stood. Now he had a question burning into his mind..."Alastor...When you defeated Raine the first time...Which of you became him?"

Alastor walked to Seifer and stared him in the eyes. "Lord Payne Okai, the Paladin of the group at the time...And he is still around...He's been following you."

Seifer's eyes widened. "WHAT!?!" He grabbed Alastor by the collar of his cloak. "Are you saying my father died and was reborn as the new Raine!?"

Alastor solemnly nodded. Seifer clenched his teeth, then threw Alastor, walking out the beaded door. He felt sick to his stomach.

(Woot! Plot twist!)

Makoto shook her head "I refuse to let it come to that." speaking after Seifer had left. "I cannot sacrafice him. I will take his place if it were to come down to it." She said, turning her eyes to Alastor. "I care to much for him to make him... make him that thing." She slump over, lost to her thoughts.

Alastor grabbed Makoto as she slumped and gently lay her down on a nereby couch. "I'm afraid, child...That's not your decision to make...It's his...You must be sacrificed, as a Summoner, to destroy Raine, unless you can find that alternate way to avoid losing yourself and you friends...As for himself, Seifer...He lost his mother at a very young age, when he was 4 years old. She had gone to a backwater country, and was beaten and raped. When she came back, Seifer and Payne were devastated. It was then that Payne began teaching Seifer how to wield a sword..."

"I'm afraid the horrible-ness of it all was too much for Cecilia...She took her own life, and Seifer came home from school and was too late to stop her. He could only witness her do it. He told me and Payne that her last words were 'I'm coming to you, Sei.'...Sei was the petname she used for Seifer. The doctors took a look and discovered that her mind had caved. She had gone insane, and her mind made her think her husband and son were dead...So she wanted to join them...Seifer's been suffering with the guilt ever since...He never spoke, for 10 years. Then, at the age of 15, he and Payne moved to Asgard, to be closer to me and Kyoko, your mother. We were the best, and only friends that Payne had. He counted on us to babysit Seifer every now and then..."

"Then it happened...Kyoko was slected by the twins to become a Summoner, and Payne to be a Paladin...I was to accompany them...Sadly, our Summoner gave up her life without hesitation, saying that if her child died, they would meet in the Hall of Sanctuary, where the twins would watch over them forever. As for Payne, he merely regretted having not told his son more often that he loved him...I'm afraid there is no way to rid the world of Raine without sacrifice...That I know of..."

"I Will find a way." She said firmly. "I cannot knowingly allow this cycle to continue." She pushed herself up some "If there is a way to defeat this thing, and not loose ourselves..." She nodded her head "We WILL find it. I just know it." She couldn't help but smile, if the Twins had been watching over them thus far, they would allow Her to find the way to stop this forever. "I wont allow it to happen any other way." Pushing herself to her feet, she turn to face Alastor. "I am the chosen Summoner, and It is my duty to stop Raine once and for all."

Alastor smiled softly and stood. "Let's go get Seifer...I have something I need to give to the boy..." He walked out of the room after setting food on the table. He soon found Seifer sitting in the Collosus stands. Alastor walked up to him and sat beside him. "Seifer..."

Seifer didn't turn to him, but spoke rather to the air in front of him. "Hello, Alastor...You know, I used to have lots of fans who'd sit up here just to see me."

Alastor sighed. "Seifer, come with me...I want to give you something that belonged to your father..." He stood. Seifer, curious to know what it was, followed.

They arrived in the gold room again, and when they reached the center, Alastor pulled from his pocket a badge. He turned and showed it to Seifer. "This was your father's coat of arms, given to him when he was given the title of Lord."


Seifer took the badge from Alastor and looked at it, almost fondly. "What am I supposed to do with this?"

Alastor coughed lightly. "Kneel, Seifer. There is something else of your father's that I wish to give you..."

Seifer did as he was told, and then Alastor took Seifer's own sword from its sheathe. He tapped Seifer on both shoulders, then sheathed the Excalibur again. "I, Sir Alastor, now give unto thee the title of Lord, once given to your father by the king of Thardus...Arise, Lord Seifer."

Seifer stood, and a light shone on him. He curled up, as if in pain, then slowly began to stand in the air. His armor seemed to disappear. He looked down as clothing seemed to just appear on him. When he fell back to the ground, he looked at himself.

(The only difference being that it's Ike's Lord form...And he's not using Ragnel, but Excalibur.)

Makoto smile, happy to see everything that had happen. Seifer was now a Lord, noble like the rest of them. She doubted that anything could have made her happier... save for the only way to truely defeate Raine... "Congratulations... Lord Seifer." She said, bowing lightly before him.

Seifer turned to Makoto. The only thing that would make her happy was the destruction of Raine. The only things that would make him happy were the destruction of Raine...And something else. He merely smiled. and walked forward, grasping Makoto softly in his arms. "I'm sorry...I was so rude earlier..."

Seifer has received the title of Lord. This title grants to its bearer immeasurable charisma. Lord Seifer now may enter the Colliseum to win...Well, you've seen it all before.

Seifer smiled a bit wider. "I suppose I've got a present for you too, Lady Makoto...But it's something I want to give to you at the right time." He then walked into the dining room/kitchen and began to eat.

Alastor smiled. All was well again. He walked with Makoto into the room and they all ate happily. It was a peaceful meal, like all the rest, but yet still different. Blazoned upon Seifer's cape, the Lionheart coat of arms softly glowed in the light.

Seifer sat quietly out in the Collosus again, watching the sky. He smiled a bit, then removed his clothing from the waist up, setting it aside. He then tapped a few switches around the edge of the Collosus, and watched the Sphere activate, slowly growing. He watched the energy charged water mass together. When it was full sized, he took a flying leap from the edge of the stands, and dived into the Sphere, taking a swim.

Makoto found her way out to the collosus, draped with a blanket she'd found. She was rather surprised to find Seifer out in the Sphere swimming about. Silently, she found a seat and watch from a distance, a small smile wore on her face. It was funny to think this was the place it began. Her sitting here, him in the Sphere. She pull the blanket closer to her body and continue to watch in silence.

Alastor watched quietly from a distance, a smile also on his face.

Seifer slowly tread through the water, then stopped, seeing Makoto. he swam forward and burst out, landing on the platform. "Hey, come join me for a swim, will ya?"

Cloud walked in the roo where makato was sitting and Seifer was sitting then calmly said to Makato" Looks like you guys have a hard decision to make. Eh. hmm I wouldn't mind joining him in there. weve been through so much we can't helb but be fond of each other. Even though iv'e given you a hard time. I just wanna let you know. When the time comes i will be the sacrafice instead of seifer. I want it to be that way."

(Umm, dude, you're character's location is unknown. It's been a few hours since dinner. You need to start using more action to show your character's movements and position. Otherwise, you're pretty much talking to thin air. Secondly, who in hell are you talking to? Alastor, or Seifer and Makoto?)
