Ten-thousand years ago, the people of Iifa were threatened by a terrifying monster known only as Raine. The beast came from the ocean, they said, and devoured entire cities with the massive tsunami it would send.

But, the terror only lasted a short time...The god and goddess twins, Avan and Mina, cast the beast back into the darkness from whence it came. The twins went into the heavens to sleep. They left the people of the old world with this edict:

"When the Iifa is in danger, awaken us. For if we should sleep, the world will be destroyed."

That was then. This is now.

Asgard is just a town with a giant Colliseum located in the very center of it, suspended 3,000 feet in the air. Within the Colliseum, people gather to watch their beloved team, the Children of Asgard, play against other teams from around the world in a game called ''Aqua Ball", while a band plays higher above.

Today, the team goes to play again...Unaware that evil is on the rise again.

Current Weapon: Wooden Blade that he keeps at his house
Personality: Kind and gentle, Seifer is loved by all in Asgard. He loves to play Aqua Ball, and he was an incredible student at school. His I.Q. is said to be pretty high, so he learns quickly.

Edge Attack(The 'Limit Break' around here): A flurry of 9 powerful thrusts, followed by a slash over the eyes. The attack is called "Blinding Fury", and causes the darkness status effect.
Special Attack(Based on class): Knight. This ability allows him to learn the abilities used to enhance and protect allies or weaken enemies.

You may do this in either 1st or 3rd person. When the first battle starts, I'll give a tutorial while it happens.

Seifer walked quickly through the crowds...Ok, so he ran. Why run, you ask? Because he felt like it. He needed to gather the strength to his legs before the big game that night, as he headed for the Colliseum.

Occupation: Student and part time Clerk at her Fathers Potion Shop.
Job/Class: Red Mage
Weapon of choice: Dagger
Current Weapon: A Family Heirloom, An enchanted Dagger
Personality: At times, she can be very rude and quick to anger. Her mouth often times gets her into trouble, but for those that have gotten close to her, she can be a very caring and dependable person.
HP(Can't be above 60): 32
MP(Can't be above 60): 54
Edge Attack(The 'Limit Break' around here): Whip Slice -
Makoto jumps into the air, and performs a succession of spinning
dagger slices on the enemy, and then she lands and performs a flip slice,
that sends a huge blast of air towards the enemy and blows them
up.
Special Attack(Based on class): Chain Spell. This allows her to rapidly cast spells with no preparation.

Makoto had already found her way into the Coliseum, giddy with excitement to watch Seifer play. She knew he could win, but she was worried that this time the opposing team might win. They had a whole new team and they looked good. She had seen them practice, and was a little surprised. However, she had faith in Seifer and his team. After all, he was the best. She wished she could have wished him luck, but her father kept her busy at the shop throughout the day and wasn't able to meet with up with everybody like she had planned. It was fitting of the day, it wasn't going well, but she hoped the game would help rise her spirits and make her day.

((Third, your first spells are Cure and Flame which is basically Fire, the prequel to Blaze which is basically Fira, the prequel to Bolganone which is basically Firaga.))

Seifer sat in the locker room and waited for the team to get dressed. When they were prepared, the team left the room and stood upon their platform, waving to fans as the other team approached on the opposite side while the Aqua Sphere massed upon itself to create the playing field.

Seifer smiled softly. This was their game. They were an unmatchable team, and increbiyl talented at other things as well. Seifer was the first to dive in, doing a triple backflip and ending with a forward somersault into the Sphere, while the other team captain did the same. Both met in the middle and shook hands. The best thing about Aqua Ball was that the teams were always friendly. They knew that if you lost, it was nothing, if you won, it was still nothing. It was just something to have fun with and keep the people entertained.

Seifer lined his team up, as did the other team captain. The team that the Children were against today was the Zion Lions, a team known for their offensive skills.

The ref stood on a platform above the Sphere. He tossed the ball, which was made of pure mana energy, into the Sphere, and blew his whistle. The game had begun.

Makoto shouted at the top of her lungs as if her voice might actually be heard over the many many other people that had filled the coliseum tonight, but that didn't stop her from shouting all the 'Best of luck's and 'You better beat them or you'll regret it's she could muster. She jumped in place, waving her arms in the air, cheering and overall enjoying herself. Things were quickly getting better and better, and she couldn't wait to watch Seifer and his team Cream the opposition.

Seifer dipped under one player, gracefully weaved around another, and passed the ball to his best offensive player, Hiro Kagura, who tosses the ball a few feet above himself and used a full backflip axe-kick to smash the ball through the goal, out the Sphere, and into the waving arms of one Makoto Kakeru.

Seifer snorted with laughter, glad he could breath and see without worrying about water in his lungs. He swam quickly, and leapt from the Sphere to the one who'd caught the ball. "Excuse me, Madame. I believe you have our ball." He smiled softly and took it from her hands, pat her head, then dove back in and resumed play.

Makoto was rather surprised when the ball landed in her arms, taking a moment to realize what had happened, although by the time she did, Seifer had taken the ball from her, patted her head, and return to play. She then had to process, again, what happened. She frown and balled one of her fists, shaking it in his direction.

"Don't pat me on the head like I'm some kinda kid!" She shouted after him.

Seifer couldn't hear her after he was back inside. He might have been glad he couldn't. he could tell just by looking at her that she was a fiery one.

The game came to a point where Seifer jumped straight upward and brought his whole fist down. "Special Strike Hammer!" He smashed the ball back into the field with both hands, then looked up on a whim. He blinked and gasped.

Before the city lay a giant beast that seemed to tower over even the Colliseum. Its body was oozing dark liquid that gathered into random points on its body and formed smaller, man-sized monsters. Seifer was so distracted by the beast that he didn't notice himself falling, not to mention the fans screaming. An entire section of the Sphere had collapsed from some sort of missile, making the mana charged water disappear, sending all of the players spiraling through the air to their deaths, 3,000 feet from air to the ground.

Seifer himself also fell. Luckily, he could maneuver well enough that he was able to catch the side of the stands and pull himself up as a whole section of the stands on the other side also collapsed, taking with it all who had once sat there.

Outside, the screams raged on, as beasts began their descent from the massive monster. They trudged through the city and attacked anyone they could find.

Makoto was cheering, watching Seifer perform his 'Special Strike Hammer', she cheered loudly. She knew they were going to win, it was far to obvious. The skill difference was huge, and they were practically running circles around the other team. In the next moment, she felt weightless and couldn't understand. She was in the air, rock and debris passing through the air with her. She couldn't hear anything, everything was quiet. Time seem to come to a stand still. As her body slowly turn, she came to find where she was located no longer was there. She couldn't understand as to why yet, but she had a feeling that the creature she could now see in the distance was most likely the cause of it.

She knew that if she didn't do anything, she was going to die. At first she thought it would be OK. She had lived a good life and she didn't have anything to regret, but soon her mental voice kicked in and she knew that was just stupid. As everything return to speed, she twist her body in the air, feeling her feet press against a large slab. With all her might she pushed off it, propelling herself toward the coliseum. She landed rather hard on the stairs, tumbling down them for a short distance before finally being able to stop. She pushed herself up, her legs shaky.

"What is going on?" She said aloud to herself in a hushed tone, keeping her balance as panicked people shoved pass her.

Seifer stood, looking around in awe as the Colliseum slowly fell to pieces. He ran for the exit, then down the long, paved road.

For a moment, though, he stopped. A beast was heading right in his direction. Seifer looked around and picked up a long pole with a sharp point on the end. The monster, however, fell quickly to a clean slice across its head, cutting the head in half. Seifer turned and blinked. "Sir Alastor!"

A man dressed in a black robe with a giant sword over his back turned to Seifer. "That's right. It's me...Alastor Aurora, former knight of Anuenue." He turned and swung again, obliterating a nearby beast who had charged him, then turned again and tossed a sword with a golden edge at Seifer's feet. The blade stuck in the ground. "You know how to use one of these things, right?"

Seifer picked up the sword. "Sort of. Never used on in a fight before, though."

Alastor sighed. "You'd better learn quick, then." He ran off in the direction Seifer had been heading in, and Seifer followed. Alastor dropped what appeared to be dagger, also with a golden edge. "We'll leave that for our friend."

"Friend?" Seifer asked.

Most of the people in her section were either gone or dead. She did her best to avoid looking at the former. She was frozen, not in fear, but out of being awestruck. The coliseum under attack? Who could have ever foreseen that? So many people died for, she was sure, no good cause. An unprovoked attack. She had never seen something like this, so it was a lot for her to comprehend.

Her eyes suddenly found people who were still alive. They were running away from her. She saw that one of them was Seifer, although should couldn't tell who the other was. Her legs finally listen to her and she began to follow after them. It was all she could think to do, it was only logical to her. They must be going toward safety.

She had nearly tripped over the dagger while running after them. It was a very nice looking one, and she felt that it was almost left for her. That was very silly, but all the same... She took it in her left hand and continue to chase after the two. If anything, she could use it if things got dangerous.... Dangerous. She picked up the pace, leaping over seats and bounding over bodies, trying to catch up.

Job/Class: Dark Ranger,
Weapon of choice: Dragon Bow.
Current Weapon: Wooden bow. (Uses a wooden bow because he is to poor to get anything different.)
Personality: Doesn't talk much because he doesn't have any friends.
HP(Can't be above 60): 40
MP(Can't be above 60): 60
Forgiven Might: He will stun the enemy and then infused darkness into 1 attack that is tripled in power and speed. Also damages over time.
Special Attack(Based on class): Blast. This ability lets him increase the attack speed of the party and increase damage.

Riki who noticed the coliseum was being destroyed at his house so he grabbed his bow and arrows and ran over there. When he got there he was in awe of what he saw. He saw people dying in front of him and people running away. He wasn't sure what he should do until he saw someone with a sword.... Seifer. I don't know whats going on but he might know. Riki tried to catch up to him but a beast knocked him over and he dropped his bow and arrows.

Weapon of choice: Hrunting (his bow made with photomagnetic energy and is a family heirloom.)

Current Weapon: Regular English longbow w/falchions in case he gets into close combat.

Personality: Stoic, silent, usually grim. But when he talks he usually gives good advice or makes people laugh. Incredibly determined and is very smart.

HP(Can't be above 60): 40

MP(Can't be above 60): 40

Edge Attack(The 'Limit Break' around here): A shot of 20 arrows that spontaneously explode upon impact followed by a dual falchion thrust amidst the confusion causing severe HP loss but the falchions may miss.

Special Attack(Based on class): Archer's Bane. This ability allows him to increase the speed of his firing and reloading as well as equipping his arrows with a poison/explosive sludge mix.

Loki happened to be in the Coliseum at the time. Seeing the events, however, he drew his bow and rushed down to the field.

Makoto rushes forward, leaping into the air to make a hard slash at the creatures face.

Seifer turned and ran back, lifting Riki to his feet as Makoto joined them. Alastor ran back as well. "Draw your weapons, kids. We've got company!"

A monster twice Seifer's size rumbled up to them. Its body was oozing black liquid, and it had tusks. Seifer drew the Gold Sword. "Here we go..."

FIGHT!

Seifer makes a quick slash across the unknown monster's arm, causing 15 damage.

Alastor uses his Armor Break special attack to lower the monster's DEF by 5 points.

Unknown Monster charges at Seifer with its Bull Rush attack, causing 10 damage.

((You're correct in your assumption. And go with the post above this one, not my previous post.))

The monster dodges aside, but is scratched by Makoto's attack, taking 5 damage. The damage is heightened by the Armor Break special attack placed by Alastor, causing 10 damage.

Loki is selected for the attack turn.
