"PRIVATE DIDN'T ANYONE TEACH YOU HOW TO KNOCK WHEN ENTERING SOMEONES OFFICE? AND I BET IT IS CLEAN. YOU THINK I DONT KNOW WHAT YOU PULLED I'VE BEEN WATCHING YOU ALL THIS TIME AND I KNOW ABOUT ALL THE CLEANING SOLUTION YOU PUT ON THE FLOOR. JUST FOR THATLATRINE DUTY FOR THE NEXT 3 DAYS AS WELL AS COOKING DUTY UNTIL GRADUATION DAY." Sasuke stood there with his face covered by his hand. "You know why did you do that I was going to have you put on the squadron but now you wont be able to go on the training mission with us on Thursday. I swear you never think of the consequences. Sir my apologies."

Riki thinks for a moment. "what can i do now? Sorry Sir i am looking forward to my duty Sir."

Avan coughed lightly. "The debriefing, sir..." He stood quietly at attention like a good soldier.

The drill seargent turned back to the two privates and nodded. "Right. Now as Private Ikari mentioned your team will be going on a training mission into deep space for a recon mission on one of the Chig home planets moons. We have designated this moon with the code name, 'Planet Death Valley Ridge.' The reason we call it this is because the ridge which is always unguarded is the one place we have been losing our troops. But there is a reason it is unguarded. They have auto sentry systems setup in the front of the ridge where we keep landing our troops. Everytime we send a ground forces team down there things get hairy then we lose contact with the team. An hour later we receive official notice from our air recon patrols that the whole team is dead. We've lost trhee teams to that ridge. So we are sending your team in." Sasuke looks at Avankiri then back at the drill seargent. "Sir if we've been losing teams on that ridge what makes you think the 501st will have any luck?" without missing a beat the seargent explains. "Well its because we are going to drop your team from 30,000 feet in the sky and have your team parachute down to the surface. Once you have landed behind the ridge you are expected to contact us immediately for further instructions. Now you will be leaving much earlier than expected. So any questions?" Sasuke steps forward. "Sir two questions When do we leave and would it be possible to hold off on Private Rikis punishment until we get back from this mission, so that he may attend the mission?" The seargent looked at Sasuke with narrow eyes. "You leave tomorrow morning at 0600 hours on the dot. And as to your request to have Private Riki I will allow him on the mission but he must serve 100 hours aboard the Saratoga once you all have graduated and have boarded the ship. I will contact Admiral Ross and let him know that he will be expecting someone in his brig." Sasuke saluted the seargent. "Thankyou sir." Sasuke leans over to Riki and spoke with a stern voice. "I just saved your butt there buddy, dont pull anymore crap like that ever again do you here me?"

Avan saluted silently, then turned and walked away. He had preparations to take care of.

Riki looked at Sasuke. "Thanks man i really didnt think that he would let me go and i won't pull another trick"

Avan walked up to Sasuke quietly. "We're prepared to leave at your calling..." He then turned and walked away to the mess hall.

Sasuke nodded. "Right. The transport doesnt arrive for another 15 hours so just have the 501st on standby until we get the call to go."

Avan nodded and then opened the door to the mess hall and stood at attention on a podium on a stage at the front of the room. "Jackson, Stoker, Powell, Anderson, Hughes. You are 5 of the seven members of the newly formed 501st Demon Squadron. Your C.O. will be Private Ikari. Your Vice-C.O. will be myself. We leave in 15 hours. Get plenty of rest."

Powell raised his hand, and Avan acknowledged him. "Vice-Commander, what is the mission we're going on, sir?"

"Recon, Powell. Recon." He merely left the men at that, and walked outside to the armory to check the squadron's weapons.

Sasuke walked in to the mess hall and grabbed a tray once he got in the chowline. He looked at all the young faces and knew that this mission would be leaving alot of these kids on that planet before it was all over with. He knew this because his group would be backed up by the 502nd, a much larger group of marines than the 501st.

Avan came back a moment later and coughed lightly as he sat beside Sasuke with his own tray of food. He merely stared at it, however. For a moment, he was silent. But then he ate, though a little slow.

Sasuke sat and watched Avan eat his food slowly. Then broke the tension and silence. "Youknow that if you dont hurry and eat that food Pvt. Fisher over here will snatch it up right from under your nose if you arn't careful."

Avan made no effort in lifting a dagger to Pvt. Fisher's arm. "You touch my food, I'll rip your throat out with your own hand." He spoke more human when giving threats. Avan did not smile, but put his dagger away and continued eating, though a little faster now.
