Esperanza bit her lip, annoyed. This group, she thought, won't take any light-hearted bantering at all. If I ask them a question, they just think I'm annoying. I mean, can't I share my thoughts?

Irvine followed her, since he had the same class. "Hey, Esper-chan, I don't think you're annoying. Kero's probably sleepy since his awakening last night. There's a certain point where your questions can be answered by others. Perhaps FLY understood your home to be her home, and came back to you when she accidentally floated outside...Who knows."

Merely .5 seconds later, Irvine lay against the wall, holding his head. "IIIIITAIIIIII!!!!"

He grumbled at the person who had opened their locker, only to find it was Rin Sagara. He meeped and stood, bowing. "Se-Sempai! Gomen nasaii I didn't see you open your lock- Ow, headache!!!"

Rin, a junior (Japanese schools have 11 grades, with 9, 10, and 11 being the high school level.), looked down at him and pulled Irvine to his feet. "Be more careful, Katsuragi-kun. You'll fall off a cliff if you don't pay enough attention to your surroundings."

Irvine nodded and blushed, walking away with his head down.

Rin blinked and watched him walk off. "What's his problem...?"

Esperanza looked at Irvine with amusement. "You okay, Irv-kun?" She stepped into the classroom, watching Irvine mumble. She quickly took her seat and sneaked FLY out of her pocket. She gently stroked her finger over it, and allowed her spirit to drift away, into the sky and puffy clouds out past the window. Drifting, drifting.... suddenly a gentle spirit lifted her back into the classroom. Esperanza blinked. What had happened? The card....had made her feel as though she were flying. And she knew she could fly actually with the card, but this drifting feeling made her feel as if she had a strong connection with her card.

"Esperanza!" Her teacher barked.
Hastily, she stuffed the card into her backpack, and awaited her fate by the legendary strict teacher.

(Irvine was born with this weird ability to sense how others feel. He could tell she felt irritated, or perhaps sad. But he didn't really know what she really felt, so he guessed. And he was blushing because Rin Sagara is a girl so dense that she sort of rejected his affections way back when without even realizing it. So he kind of prefers to be as far away from her as possible since she broke his heart...Ok, broke is an understatement.)

Irvine sat at his desk quietly, ignoring Lilith-sensei's yelling at Esperanza. Finally, when he could stand no more, he stood to speak. However, everything seemed to stop, except for himself, Esperanza, and the other Cardcaptors, probably located in various positions in school.

Irvine blinked and looked around. "...What in the name..." There was a quiet ticking, and Irvine turned. Out in the courtyard, an old man stood in a purple cloak, carrying with him a giant hourglass.

Esperanza blinked, as Lilith-sensei's mouth stopped in mid-word. She seemed to be frozen. Esperanza looked around, and saw that her other classmates were frozen as well. She cautiously got up, and poked Lilith-sensei with her own ruler.

"Oi, are you alive?" When the woman didn't respond, Esperanza looked at Irvine. He was breathing, unlike others and was staring out into the courtyard. She froze. An old man out there dressed in purple was standing still, staring right at them.

It was then that Kero chose to make his appearance, popping up out of Sasume's backpack. "Uh oh...It's TIME. If you make one wrong move, he'll simply reverse time. I've seen him do it before..."

Irvine drew his key from the necklace on his neck, and pulled WINDY from his pocket.

"Key that hides the powers of the Dark. Show to me your true form. I, Irvine, command you under our contract...RELEASE!"

...Nothing. He tried it again, and still nothing. Kero blinked and slapped his forehead. "I'm so stupid. I forgot that since the cards became Sakura Cards, Sakura used the word 'Stars' instead of 'Dark'."

Irvine twitched. That little furball was costing him alot of personal security. "Key that hides the powers of the Stars. Show to me your true form. I, Irvine, command you under our contract...RELEASE!"

A blinding flash erupted from the key, which took the form of a Chinese Ceremonial Sword. Irvine looked at it in a sort of awe, then took off from the classroom, down the stairs, then out the door into the courtyard.

"Wow!" Esperanza burst out, impressed. She was itching to do the same thing, but had never known the words. She closed her eyes, and said "Key that hides the powers of the Stars. Show to me your true form. I, Esperanza, command you under our contract...RELEASE!"

Suddenly, she felt the key start to morph in her hands and when she opened her eyes, it had changed into a.....cat?!

"MOXIE??!!" she shrieked, seeing her pet with the key's stones for eyes. But it wasn't Moxie, though the colors resembled her. Long and lithe, the sleek ferret-cat had glowing rubies for eyes (not real, obviously), and was a pure brilliant snow-white, with dashes of fiery orange in her pelt.

Esperanza got over the shock, and quickly composed herself. Swifly and silently she and the ferret-cat leaped down the stairs, and she found that she now had the agility of a cat.

(Ya said that already. And I just chose to have everyone in the same classes at the same times most of the day, so that if a problem occurs, they can be right next to one another.)

Irvine stopped in front of TIME, who looked up at him like a grandfather looks at his grandson. Not wanting to make any mistakes, Irvine slowly walked forward. TIME made no move to reverse his hourglass. When Irvine was close enough, he lifted his card and spoke the words as if he knew them by heart. "Wind, become a binding chain! WINDY!"

He placed the card on the end of his sword, and it glowed. THe circle beneath him lifted dust into the air, and a large gust of wind blew forward, carrying with it a woman whose lower body seemed made of the wind. She wrapped herself around TIME and held him in place.

Irvine looked to Esperanza. "Seal it!"

(Ok, she says 'Return to the guise that you were meant to be in'. She lifts the staff and then says 'CLOW CARD', strikes the magic barrier that hides the card's true form, and the card gets transformed back into a card. In our case, the word is 'SAKURA CARD', instead of 'CLOW CARD'.
