Superiority: Ghosts vs. Spirits

In this world, there are things that, as human beings, we can not understand. Things that go beyond the laws of nature, and defy all beliefs and possibilities. A reptilian creature in Loch Ness Lake. A hairy beast that hides from human-kind when possible. Dead people come back for one reason or another.
These tales and others contribute to the ever-growing thought that there are "things that go 'bump' in the night', that there may be monsters in our closets. The only way to know for sure is to track them down.
When people die painful, tragic, or untimely deaths, they find it hard to leave, and thus remain in this world, refusing to cross the line between life and death. There are some souls who have grown so powerful that they are able to make themselves visible to the human eye. And then there are those who are able to move objects, even people. Some souls grow so strong that even possession becomes available in their arsenal...
Arsenal, you ask? Against what, you ask? Well, there are some souls who don't feel like leaving this world at all. They want to wreak as much havoc as they did when they were alive. These 'bad souls' are known as 'Ghosts'. Good souls are more comonly referred to as 'Spirits'.
Spirits can move objects like any other soul, but it is their ability to use 'Gifts', special abiltiies unique for every Spirit, that makes each Spirit their own person, able to fight back against evil souls. Spirits are powerful, have a pleasant aura, and having one around is a good luck charm for the living, even if they don't know it.
Ghosts are just the opposite. They have a foul aura, so unpleasant that flowers wilt after a few minutes when one is around. Ghosts are more powerful in the 'touch-and-go' area, meaning their para-interaction skills. By para-interaction, I refer, ladies and gentlemen, to a soul's ability to interact with the physical world around them. Ghosts are able to move objects easily, without even having to touch them. And they're so skilled at doing so, that they can use para-interaction on a whole room without making a sound, unless it's something like glass being thrown against a wall, which would obviously make noise.
Ghosts also have two special abilities. They have 'Dark Gifts', which are basically the same as Spirit's 'Gifts'. And Ghosts are able to reconfigure their structure before, during, and after materialization, allowing for a completely different look. This can be used to either fool Spirits and Ghost Hunters, or to make themselves look even more terrifying than they truly are.
Ghosts and Spirits both do have a single bane, though. Because humans of religious activity are unable to, for some reason, understand that there are good and bad souls, Ghosts and Spirits alike are vulnerable to exorcisms.
Common misbelief: Getting your house blessed won't get rid of Ghosts. It's like poking a bear with a stick. It only pisses them off.
