Possibly Coming to zomganime.com
Well, I thought up something new over the weekend and just talked to naga about it today and he agrees that it'd be pretty interesting
the idea is...ZomgAwards how it will work part 1:there will be a set number of areas and in each area 3-5 animes will be in them the areas: Best Storyline/Plot Best Emotional Appeal Best Music (meaning inside the anime) Best Opening/Ending Most Unexpected Scene Best Character Best Conflict between characters Best Randomness (some animes have NO real or understandable plot, ex.:Lucky Star, Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, and Bobobo-bobo-Bobobo) Best Deep Meaning (confusing based with extreme mental use, ex.:Neon Genesis Evangelion, Death Note, and Paranoia Agent) Best Pervertion (some animes would be nothing without it) Worst/Suckiest Anime (some animes have no chance in the good areas) and Overall Best Anime How it will work Part 2:The staff will decide a few recommendations for each area and the members get to vote (voting by members will be in forums of course) when it's over little awards (made by sOph if she'll be willing to make them because all she makes rocks) will be placed on series pgs for each anime and they'll get linked to on homepage ^^ well, how's that sound?

theres no reason atm to not like it.... so i go with yes it actually sounds pretty cool. or it could crash and burn by the die hard anime fans who get dissapointed cause their naime didn't make it. but you really dont have to worry about that one and note at the moment i just got home from soccer tourny. im very tired and unenthusiastic

It sounds cool and all, but some of the lesser known or least popular anime's are going to lose out on 'big names,' even if they are ten times better..
 Still, I vote yes..

Interesting idea and this idea will increase the view of the anime that is voted best by the 'zomg' people or community. Interesting and I like to do something interesting with the music
 I'll tell you when the music thing comes out.EDIT: Lolz btw I saw in the randomness anime part you put Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei xD

And about the small titles losing out to the biggies, well, there probably should be a nominations thread first, since some people are going to nominate obviously the big namers, and others coughmisteryodacough when he's back on, who's seen lik 300 titles can also nominate for lesser known titles....though there will still be like bias that can't be helped, oh well...
