your view on the idea of swaping the sidebars.

I was thinking the site looks a bit odd now, due to the large colum at the left.

So I was wondering what do you all think about having them moved around?.

the options are.

1)anime sidebar | content | othersidebar

2)content | other sidebar| anime sidebar :

Sorry furan I prefer it on the left for me its easier to access and I've been on this site since December, I got used to this on in a pinch. Either way its fine for me tho.

3 is basically just a mirror image of the way it is now. (just flip it round in ur head)

Well I think that that would look better than it does now. Or what you could do is make the other sidebar wider to fit in with it. But then it would make the content look really small ....

Having the adds and the new anime on the left hand of the screen and the listing of both finished and airing animes on the right would seem more logical. You'd want folks to look at the adds and to see what's new. And here in the west we do begin our reading from left to right, as opposed to the Japanse from right to left.

Satsu, that's how I was thinking, but the opposite. We don't want the new comers to notice our adverts first, we would like them to see the great collection of anime we have.

that's why I did it like it is now.

Am afraid that I know next to nothing about html. Barely have my head wrapped around BB code. I'm simply good at maintaining order, whacking folks with the Bakka hammer (if need be) and then feeding them to Fluffy (permaban time).

Hmm.. That pic makes it look far cleaner, least to me anyway. It feels so bloated to have the entire list to the left. Then again, considering how large the completed anime list is becoming, you might have to eventually place it under a button, no different from the forums/chat/irc buttons. Which would force another front page redesign as well. *scratches head*

All I can do is express my own personal preference for nr. 3, main reason why I visit the front page is for new additions and the general news info.
