Host Own Videos

I suggest that instead of constantly trying to upload videos to youtube and having all your accounts along with hundreds of awesome videos removed. That you create your own flash player, a real simple one (i'm not too much into the whole macromedia flash thing, so idk how easy it would be). And then just post all the movies on here, so they're safe from being deleted. and we can still enjoy fast loading. With the dependence that they'll always be there.

It might be tough, but i definitely think it's worth it.

Yeah it sure is a good idea but the only problem is the fact to host our own videos we have to have a really good server than can take all the video and then allow streaming.

When i look at the statistics of this site and then thinking about how many people watch anime here at once we would need a decent server to cope with the traffic and streaming and that costs alot of money.

Unless we get monthly donations we cant make it happen to be honest. But your right it would help and creating a flash player is also easy aswell, but its the money factor that we cant simply do.

I was always wondering how much it would cost us if we would have our own server. So do you have any idea or do you have a site link from an example?

I dont know the exact costs, but i think around $250-$300 (AUD) a month maybe more, depends on how much anime we add to the server. I'm sure Naga would know though.

Well... we can't efford it yet but maybe in the future we can. We would relly seperate from all those other anime sites. Keep this idea in the back of your mind. ^^

Actually sadly there would be one we'd still be the same as, animeseed. they've been up for 2 years now. i just went on the other day to ask them about trollers, they never got bugged once and i believe all there anime is in there own server
