well i was looking at another forum and realised they had a anime radio station and was thinking if we should get one for zomg. i cant do it but im sure if we all want one someone can.

usually i wouldnt post it here but now we have council votes for ideas so i thought i get all your opinions.

of course the person would need to have a large library of anime songs (OP and EDs, maybe even songs that are played during it, like if its the same song that comes on every battle/dramatic moment kinda thing))

so what y'all think ?

Wow, I seen this kind of radio station thing for a game called runescape before too. It was at Zybez.com, which is one of the fan based help sites. It has a radio thing and etc... I think that it would be a great idea to have a Anime radio <3 If I had any power to vote yes or no I give you a big YES/ Thumbs UP

But I must also bring up that there could be a possible budget thing that you might need to purchuse another website/web domain or something o.o

Thougth the same. I would like it to be mostly Anime music but sometimes it should be some new or good music (non-anime related ^^). My news station had a program that you called and was able to chose a song that they would play ^^ If sum like that would be nice ^^

well it would kinda be like this one i found on a site http://radio.animeseed.com/ thats only the voting bit though not the radio

I like the podcast idea but the problem is, its only once every so often, where as the radio would be on all the time and computer controlled so u could add in ur own message when ever u like and make it repeat at a certain time as if it was a podcast

oh wait that reminds me, enigma havent u had that podcast idea for a while??

hmm the voting system as it is shown there looks ok...
just tried it now....
but about the thing with the titles....
how could we decide which songs are played (about the anime song/radio song)
maybe a voting..or will somebody from the mods or admins decide this?

well none of us are experienced in this i believe, but it would have to be a vote system, but if no one votes (say maybe its late and the sites dead or theres a few ppl on not caring what comes on) then i guess it would be a random generated song. As it would be a full time job for one of the staff to moderate the songs comming on next.

Furan, for a 24 hour radio wouldn't you need people from every time zone? like someone from the USA working 3 hours then a guy in Europe working 2 hours, etc.? I like the idea but it sounds kinda high management. You'll also need to have a HUGE music collection! At least 200 songs! I don't think you should restrict it to just anime tho, I say have a few hours a day for anime another hour from rock, etc... Make it an extremely diverse music radio collection.

nope wouldnt just need someone to check its working once a day, as it would be run by a computer program.

Plus i would say not to be anime but then u have to find a neat balance between every genre and if someone who likes jazz maybe hears a heavy metal song it might offend them or something, i thought it would just be best for anime as its a small niche and its a great way for ppl to learn to like new/old japanese bands.

if it was for all music id happy upload my whole music collection as i have over 12gb (not alot in memory but its alot of songs)


and to have a decient enough library id suggest 400/500 songs
