Default Specs

I bought a PC from the Pawn Shop I work at. At first glance, the sticker and website say this:

Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Basic
3.46GHz
512MB
120GB SATA
SuperMulti DVD Burner with LightScribe Technology
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950
Vista Basic

The actual system:

3.47ghz
2039mb
140gb (Not sure yet of brand)
SuperMulti DVD Burner with LightScribe Technology
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950
Vista Basic

I was wondering, are this PCs customizable like when you order a dell? Changing a few things with it instead of all being the same model.

yeah, frankencomputers or patched up stock computers aren't really uncommon, and in my opinion are better. (Unless it's a higher end badass with liquid-cooling and stuff, lmfao).
Of course, you still have limitations with compatibility. Make sure you check out your mobo, it's probably the most important thing to consider when making a computer. Also, if the original HD was SATA, i don't see why the 140 wouldn't be. It seems like the original owner just got some extra space and more memory.
