Apparently, ad-watch is a program that basicly runs inthe background and searches for programs that could possible alter your computer i.e moving shell.dl. It will also search for parasites/virues etc.

I second AVG. be careful, since running AVG and and Mcafree together will result in a "disagreement" between the programs.

Currently i use avira antivirus,
now my computer starts up really fast.
It probably isn't working wonders for me, but at least it is better then the others.

i used norton for a long time but never had any issues so i dont run anything now. i just make sure to run crap cleaner every night and make sure the registry isnt too cluttered.

if you're not using wireless you don't need any protection XD

though my laptop uses spy sweeper because i thought it would be ok without but after 3 days i got new laptop i started seeing porn pop ups lolz... wireless comps need some kind of protection
