Damn Zango!
I used to love that old site for the awesome torrents and neato forums/community.
Lets just hope this turns out to be as great as the previous one !
Anyway will we be posting torrent links here in this forum or should we continue to use the old ones/use the animetake site instead?

Seriously, what IS wrong with the zango? Just cancel it off and done. Why is that called a "big problem"? zZzz.
I hold no grudge against you, however; I don't find its a problem at all, its a way to gain money.
p/s: My post directly to all people who hate the zango stuff and decide to leave the site.

You don't get it do you? Zango opens backdoors for viruses on your computer, which means you could get any kind of viruses you want. Also by using zango it shows my much of a greedy bastard that indian owner is, willing to sell out his user base for cash.

But if you cancel it (not installing it), what harm does it bring to you?

That idiot just hasn't figured out how to select the "no cancel" option. Probably because he can't read english -.-. And a lot of people won't know that.

I agree that Zango is scumware but you might want to check on your facts before just spounting off random stuff like viruses. They are a registered company and while their software does engage in not so preferred activities viruses are not one of those activities. A quick google search on Zango (obviously ignoring the first match) does lead to some sites confirming they do stuff like adware and spyware. There is no backdoor to it, if you click the agreement to install the software they can and will put whatever they can on your machine and it is covered in the agreement. In general viruses are the last thing they want as it looks like they are already on shaky grounds financially and a bad virus will turn off what few users they can get. The possibility isn't 0 of getting a virus from them but I would put it at about the same odds as getting a virus from any other general software which is very unlikely.
It is intrusive software, it scans your pc and monitors your browsing habits relaying all of this info to them for them to with as they please and they can any "partner software" they choose to without you knowing or your consent (the agreement that no one ever bothers to read but everyone clicks I Agree to is your consent allowing them to do this).
I agree with the concept of your messages in regards to the software and agree that it is poor form on CGF part to even allow garbage like that and it is a bad sign for the site as a whole but spreading baseless rumors about it isn't a good way to shoot it down. It doesn't help people who have installed it if they are looking for the wrong type of removal utilities to get it off (and I promise you people have installed it) and a simple uninstall doesn't always get this type of software off.

Well after that wall-o-text I will retort with this. The first time I ever installed Zango my computer ended up crashing two days later, coicendence? I think not. (Not to mention that I have never had a computer crash.)

I generally tend to call every malware viruses but after reading your "wall of text" (xD) I'm still against zango. I'd say it's even worse that it's a spyware since it steals your data o.0, one user who has been pwned by zango: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...9225512AARbsZC

You see the new admin barely know what anime is, he bought it to earn money. I'm not sure if he cares what people think about it as long as he get cash for it.

@blizz, no the admin guy added it himself.
well the most annoying is it comes up on ever single page u click on ALL of them,
>cancel
>cancel
>cancel
>cancel
>cancel
>cancel
>cancel
>cancel
>cancel
That just gets annoying when u work on the site, floating around to see things. of course i could of used the admin panel but i wanted to see the sites pages for what they actually look like
