In my opinion, if both versions exist, it'd be nice to host both versions, but this may add up to more work than the admins feel up to.

Chobits is dubbed? I watched Chobits on zomg, and it was subbed. Or are you just listing some series' that are dubbed?
And I agree with Asa, most people dislike dubs. They're so embarrassing..

Seems to me that you'd only pick the dubbed version, if you can't get your hands on the subbed version.
As Asa pointed out, it can be rather difficult to find subbed versions of certain series, whereas dubs do exist. In that case, providing the dubbed version would seem to be preferential over not providing anything at all. But then, that's just my 2 copper pieces.

I agree with Satsu. The problems with dub on a website like this, too, is that they're more than likely licensed, and the dubs have been made by a professional company rather than a bunch of fans.
My only issue with fan-made subs (and also fan translations of manga) is that they don't proofread or edit. Since I've been watching/reading a lot more of fan-translated things, I've been really bothered by the ridiculous amount of grammatical and spelling errors in their works.
Not to start a new discussing or anything... I'd rather have poorly-spelled and structured direct translations than badly synced dubs.

My Goddess i decided to find the subbed version, with no luck streaming i had to download them and am now uploading them onto megavideo to post here if you guys want em xP if not ill post em somewhere else because i couldn't find 1 subbed episode for streaming anywhere.

Same here, I only watch the dub when I can't find the sub, as happened when I was looking for Ikki Tousen 1st season, I've watched the German dub of it and German dubs generally suck.
Sometimes funny things happen, when I was looking for Hellsing, I've found (and seen) the first episode in French, Englisch, Spanish and German dub. Spanish dub was the best, closest to the original.
But in some cases, English dub is better than the Japanese original, as happened in Ranma 1/2, some voice actors of minor characters were misplaced and some jokes were missing because they couldn't be translated, but all in all, I liked the dub better.

i particularly dont like the dubbed versions, sometimes the voice don't fit with the character, either way having both subbed and dubbed would be oo much work to find and maintain i think

It was discussed a while back and as it stands we plan to add for both on a few animes like Zatch Bell (we already have subbed up) and Hikaru no Go (subbed up as well)

Dubs are irritating, to say in the least. More often than not, words are out of sync with the movement of the character's mouths, and a lot of jokes are lost, along with the feel of the culture. No honnorifics are left after dubbing, so relationships that were clear when watching the subbed version are hazy and sometimes imposible to recognize in the dubbed version. Also, the voice actors...ugh. It's embarassing to hear the basic voice inflections of an actor you are familiar with hearing matched up with a character you know didn't talk like that in the original version. Well, at least it is for me. I actually stopped watching the dubbed versions of Bleach and Death Note to watch the original with subs. I agree with you, HollowESB, that dubs suck.
