That would be me.
As for the why.
Well, we do have a female audience as well, who more often than not seems to love stuff like this. And considering all the regular ecchi stuff that we've been putting up, like Kanokon etc (and with Kamen no Maid guy incoming) (as well as the more adult stuff like Mnemosyne). Figured that the ladies were feeling a little left out.
Hence this show and Neo Angelique ~Abyss~ (reverse harem iirc) to even up the score for the gals.

Oh, alright. I about shit a brick watching the first episode. (I dropped it after that though, lol.* You can choose to trust me about that or not. I don't care :\)
I guess you're right, though. About the female fans, I mean.
*Dropped the show, not a brick or anything. <.<

Took me about a whole day just to get through two episodes.
I didn't exactly feel comfortable with some of the stuff either.
But it has its funny moments (least in the two episodes that I've seen, it's not exactly on my must see list either), but whether I like it or not really doesn't matter. What matters is that our audience enjoys it. And in this case, a specific section of our audience, who may have been a wee bit neglected as of late.
I mean, you can only drool after Itachi and Sasuke for so long, before you want some new eyecandy.
Besides, considering I'm also planning on adding the first season of Ikkitousen as well as the OVA's (although this is going to take a bit, considering all the back-ups I need to do, as well as adding some other new/old series) as well. Plenty of stuff for the males to amuse themselves with. So might as well be fair and give the ladies some material as well.

Haven't watched that series, so I can't really run a comparison.
First episode has what one could probably classify as sexual assault (then again, so does the first season of Ikkitousen, and that has a rape as well, although the latter is done off screen of course), and it's not as if it's shown graphically. Just a facial close-up of the person being assaulted. Then again, assaulter and assaulted end up as a couple, well, sort of.. The usual ups and downs, wouldn't be much of a series, if everything was hunkydory right away.
Second episode, is just the usual couple comedy stuff, think Inukami! with Yoko trying to put the moves on Keita, or Ren (DearS) trying to get into Takeya's pants.
Just that opposed to female on male, it becomes male on male. Also has the unavoidable love interest rival etc etc. Fairly standard comedy/romance in that sense. Must say, that they make excellent use of chibi-faces for the comedy bits.
Normally, chibi can be really jarring with the regular art-style. But for some reason, it works with this series, and it's a fairly standard bishonen artwork at that, which is why it's a bit odd why it works so well.
Can't say anything about episodes 3 and 4, haven't seen them. Had to review 1 and 2 to make sure that the show in and of itself wasn't inappropriate to put up.

Well, if I had to compare the sexual assaults in this show and the one in Ikkitousen (the latter was female on female by the by, the rape was male on female, or was it males on female. Don't quite recall. *shrugs*).
The Ikkitousen one dealt with someone who'd been paralyzed in battle (usual secret techniques stuff), and thus was unable to do anything about what occurred with her.
In this case, the chap being assaulted had a number of options, none of which he used. The hold he was held in, wasn't completely immobilizing either. Now, if the other chap had rotated his wrist as well, then yeah, open and shut case, you can't get out of it then.
But considering how he was held (shoulder lock essentially, he could've either twisted out of it, or he could've slammed his head into the guy's face, when the latter started to whisper sweet nothings in his ear).
And especially considering what happened afterwards, one could definitely quibble if it was or wasn't sexual assault. Apparently, that's one of the things that women find interesting in this genre, the thin line between assault and simply being seduced/ravaged. *shrugs*
Not my sort of thing, but eh.. Tastes differ.. I find stuff like what occurs in School Days rather offensive as well. Hence, why I haven't watched that show. This seems to have been a one time "incident".
You could give it a look see yourself. Mayhaps, you'll find it amusing, maybe you won't. *shrugs*

Well, either that or the new Neo Angelique ~Abyss~
No idea, how good that is either, but the series seems popular enough.
And I was/am under the impression that Goldenwolf rather likes/liked the previous series: Beloved Angel Angelique ~When Hearts Awaken~
Don't quite think that this is a sequel or follow up season, but series wise they are kin apparently.

The anime is made leaning towards female audiances so don't be offended that you wasted your time watching the first episode. Be glad that you arn't a female O.o no offense to anyone...

I guess I'll have to check the other shows that were mentioned here. Or maybe I'll watch a second episode of Junjou. The first was accompanied by a large sense of ''omfg-wtf?'' and -
I can say it made me uneasy to watch it, but in a way, the story was kind of screwed up enough to be interesting, and I'll admit there was comedy. The initial shock made me put it on my drop list, but after viewing this thread, and after some contemplation, I might give another episode a shot. If it isn't as.. uh, *barf* as the first episode, I might continue watching.

It's not like I descriminate against yaoi, but I actually was going to watch this since the artwork on the page to watch it was pretty good.
Now prolly I must use discretion......X_X but I don't feel comfortable with yaoi anyway.....
