Need to attract more people to site

I was always thinking about this but didn't know how to put it. We should try to get more people to join Zomgforums somehow so we could stay more active. I always felt that when I post about something it takes a while for people to respond. I would like to get a new person to chat with but its the regular people. So I was thinking that we should have some things to get more people to join our site. I was thinking that we get an official Veoh and Youtube account
and we can sort of advertise our site on different sites on the internet. I also thought we could ask friends to join as well. So to make it simple I think we should go on other sites to help other people out such as posting videos about our site and how great it is=]

I personally believe that the number of active members we have at this present moment is good, if it takes an hour or two to get a reply, who cares. If there are to few members, the result would be obvious, and if there were to many it could result in the following:

-If the number of active members increases to greatly, than one will not feel as familiar to the forum, for he or she would not really know to many of the members due to fact that there are two many of them

-There would be to many threads and posts to easily keep up with, causing one to possibly miss out on some interesting threads, etc.

I'm not saying that I want no more new members either

just my 2 cents.

We used to have ppl spam ads on youtube and veoh, but those ppl quit doing their jobs. It'd be great if people would mention site in their comments/on their profile/etc. We'd actually really appreciate it.

btw, most ppl just come and view anime, we literally get over 30,000 views a day (zomganime does)

Yeah I don't mind the amount of people we have right now, it's pretty decent.

Maybe a little more would be nice...Becuase it seems I talk to the same people every single day.. Not saying I dont like you guys....and girls.... Lol a few more wouldnt hurt

I definatly agree with The End, while ZOMG could use some more members, you dont want a lot of members. I've had the same problem on WC3 with my clan. We used to be a nice little happy family but then we started getting flooded with members and it became ridiculous.

Too many members just makes things insane (just look at 4chan)

i just wish we got more members that where active at 3am-10am GMT cos when i stay up sll night im dying of bordem and no one is on to talk.
but im really happy with this forums its really active and everyone seems to know each other at least by passing or seing there name.

think atm we have over 1000 active members, at the end of the month that will probs crash back down to 300/400 odd though. but think it doesnt matter how many members there is u ll always come across the same ppl lol.

I don't get on this forum to often but yes, it could use a few more people. So long as it doesn't get huge and stays at a reasonable size, you still know a lot of people, and you get some new faces and opinions. I guess it just boils down to where you hang out at on the forum. That determines who you know, and how many new faces you get to see.

If you really want more people than you should make youtube ,veoh,megavideo etc hit no.1 with links leading to this forum.
But i think it's enough people since when i log in i ahve more than 2 pages ._.

Keep in mind that a flood of new members can do harm to. I'm also a member of the Head-Fi.org site and they have insane amounts of members. Most join then ask what they need and thats it. But most forums are like that and only a few will stay for the long run. You also get the same thing over and over again with a lot of people. It can be frustrating when you come up with a good topic and it gets bumped out in seconds with topic that already have active threads to them. Come on you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong I think its real neat when a forum or site grows and grows. For instance dose tellytubby land ring a bell? Its now Newgrouds! So the same can happen here. Maybe one day ZOMG gets so big that the current members will get that nostalgia feeling. I bet you some of you feel that way now!
