well said, Id much rather stick with the original Japanese voice actors since they were chosen by the writers/producers and are closest to their original vision. Voice acting is a serious profession in Japan, so they do a good job, unlike England and America where they find some random who will do it for pennies.

Dude what are you talking about, FMA dubs where awesome, the voice actors where great. Go compare ed's voice in both, he's A LOT better in the English vers.

lol, I have compared them, the japanese version has far more emotion and the actor a bigger vocal range than the american dude, who sucks btw. The guys voice acting is totally ineffective and unconvinging (like every time he tries to scream...."aaaah" lol).I feel a lot of the emotion and atmosphere was lost thru the dubs.
I also found an intersting quote by ur precious voice actor:
I didn't even know anything about the show when I was cast, but unbeknownst to me, I've stumbled into a great show and a great character
—Vic Mignogna, Anime News Network.
This kinda reinforces my argument tht the "actors" know NOTHING about the show before they do the dubs. The japanese actors wud hav read the manga, done thier research and had the guidence of the scriptors directors and probably the mangaka/author of the manga. Ive watched the series thru several times subbed, and once (very painfully) dubbed. The sub wins handsdown man.
American dubs......lmao

Think the best Dubs going are for FMA and bleach.
However, i still prefer subbed, and trying to fix dubbed to all the possible series would require alot of work

Dubs are pretty bad since the characters mouth movements are meant for japanese and it sounds a little bit wierd also, they try to make the lines longer in dubs so it would fit the mouth movements. I only like one show with dubs and that is Midori Days.

Most of you guys start watching anime in jap so english would obiously sound weird. It matters what you start watching first. I watch FMA in eng beause thats the easiest to find and when i heard the jap I was like wtf... So it matters what you see first

That's not always true. I saw japanese FMA and didn't like it, then I saw a few english episodes and saw that it was better. Some anime ARE JUST BETTER. Only a couple though.
