Dub is half ass voicing. Half ass because only 50% of the time, its actually worth listening to. Other than that, it's a pain to my ears. Even on some subbed stuff, I cut out the volume.

just because you can name a few good dubs does not mean they are good in general i like to watch episodes soon after they come out in japan so i am a sub fan all the dub fans need to realize how far behind you truly are if you really like a show try watching it in the language it was ment to be herd in you get used to reading and watching the show at the same time so yeah subs all the way

Everyone is harsh on dubs for a reason. The overwhelming majority of them all suck. I think the different types of dubs can be broken down into categories.

• Good dub, a dub that is actually done masterfully, and true to the source material. The voice actors match the characters, and they voice the characters with sincerity. These are FAR and FEW between.
• Decent dub, the dub is decent for the most part, but manages to deviate and/or skew the source material just the right amount to cause irritation for a lot of fans.
• Bad dub, the voices do not fit the characters in the dub, sometimes names or plot devices are changed, makes any fan, and even non fans groan in disdain.
• Shit dub, absolutely horrible voice acting and execution, no matter which way you look at it. You don't even have to know what anime is to identify one of these. Their levels of suckage are unparalleled, and any anime that has been afflicted by this type of dub will become notorious for it's cringe inducing, horrid, dubbing. The shit dubs takes the original version of the anime, and lays a hot, steaming pile of feces on it.

I think that about breaks it down, and I think that for the most part, most dubs fall under the "Bad Dub" category.

Oh god I could rant about the quality od dubs for days, but instead I'll summarize it with this:

--that and the other 196,000 results for epic fail on google images that I have too much of a life(0.0<inifintely repeating>1% of a life at least) for that sort of nonsense

--now that I think about it, it would probably would have been faster if I just wrote a huge rant on it, which I probably will in the future
