Well...hmm...I'm half Japanese and can speak it fluently as well as read...and I say....dubs aren't too great. Theres some that were good (FMA was pretty good, DBZ was ok though I like the Japanese voice acting a lot better since that's what I saw first) but others are too horrible (One piece, Naruto...Bleach...well...Bleach is standable compared to the other two).
But in all honesty...even though I HATE dubs....its a matter of which your saw first. Those who saw the Japanese voiceings first will like that compared to the English (since they're familiar with the first one) and vice versa. Most of the people (well the ones I know anyways) were familiar with the Japanese voiceings so when they saw the English one they automatically hated it.
But like I said....some are standable. It's all a matter of opinion I guess. BUT those who say they hate it JUST because other people are saying it and have never actually seen a dubbed anime should be shot in the face. :]
